I am SOOOO happy!!! I called the patient assistance program today, that we had contacted for co-payment help for our girls' growth hormone. Finally, today one of our girls was approved for assistance!!! Woohoo! Our other daughter will be soon, but they were missing some info from our doctor's office on the paperwork. So, her paperwork was sent back to the doc's to be corrected, but should be done this week. In the meantime, our other daughter will receive her medicine this Thursday!! This is so awesome, since they both have gone without their medication for two months straight now (a total of almost 4 months for the year...which is a LOT if you're GHD) and noticeably dropped in their growth at their last endocrine visit at the end of April. My eldest has been very tired and napping frequently. The other is starting to get just as tired. This will be such a blessing to them! I was so happy earlier, on the phone, that I started to cry. I know...I'm such a blubbering fool at times...but we have been waiting so long to hear this, with all the probs we've had regarding this issue this year. This will help us out a lot to not have to pay the copay or switch meds because we couldn't afford it. I'm so happy!!! Thank you for all who prayed with us on this issue!! He heard and answered our prayers! |
