A Day in the Life...
Feb. 22, 2009
Coughing and Snoring

Whatever this is...cold, flu...what have you...it hit me full force on Wednesday morning. Ugh. I was in bed for two days straight. However, I had pre-surgery labs at the hospital on Friday morning so had to drag myself out of bed. I ached all over from the coughing. I think I'm the only person that showed up with a box of kleenex and a bag of Hall's in hand. lol! I made it through the labs, but also had to get cat food at the vet, which finally came in on order and also had to get groceries. I was eating Hall's cough drops like they were going out of style. lol! Yesterday, I was bedridden again, as it hit me full-on to make up for my day out, I guess. Today is a little better, but I'm forcing myself to get up and stay up. I need to recover to have my surgery on Thursday. They told me that if my fever wasn't gone by Monday, which I'm hoping it will be ( I still have a slight one), that I'd have to reschedule.  I don't want to have to do that, as it will put it a little too close to my trip to FL and I want to be fully recovered by then without any soreness. I hate illnesses. But I'm positive that everyone else does too...pretty much a given. Good news...the girls are pretty much over it all, except for the cough here or there throughout the day, but are getting fewer as each day passes.

We also got snow over the weekend. Along with it, our power got knocked out for three hours yesterday. It got really cold, really quick in this house. Brrrr! My girls got their daddy's folding table out (he uses to set his laptop up on for his schooling here at home). I told them they'd be a lot warmer if they made a tent with blankets over it and stayed inside of it. Sure enough, they did just that and were toasty warm the whole time we had no power. Me...well, I couldn't fit under the table, so I was curled up in the recliner with a blanket trying not to overeat on cough drops (my bedroom is FREEZING even without the heat out...thanks hon! lol!).

Oh...saw this hilarious video on yahoo's homepage a little while ago. Thought I'd share it. I had this problem many times while my girls were just infants.  Hubby snores like a freight train. No offense babe...I still love ya!! lol!! But this video brought back quite a few memories. lol!! Enjoy!  http://video.yahoo.com/network/100743807?v=4438098

Now...if that baby KICKED him after each snore, that would look like me! Hahaha! Of course, Ty also gets ME back later on b/c NOT ONLY is he 'blessed' w/a house rattling snore, but he has Restless Leg Syndrome!!! So...I get kicked back. UGH!

So...when I show up to gym w/bags under my eyes - and you know I haven't been sick (NOT like this week, though) - then you'll know that he ran a marathon in his sleep the night before! :-/

Blessings, Kim<><

ha haha!! I have restless leg syndrome as well!! rofl!! I so know what you mean about 'running in sleep'. lol! Luckily, mine's not severe so I only move my leg (left, mainly) back and forth real slow to get to sleep. Summer heat, fevers and pregnancy make it a LOT worse though. It was so unbearable through my pregnancies that hubby had to sleep on the couch so I could move my legs so much! lol!! Sorry you have to deal with that kicking too...ha ha. I'm sure you and my hubby could share stories of being kicked in the bed. ha ha!
