While in Florida visiting my friend Christy, both of us realized (not that we didn't before my visit) just how badly out of shape we were. So, we both bought ourselves an eating journal to keep track of what we eat. We also made resolutions to start working out again. I started my new lower fat eating last Wednesday and got back in the gym this Monday. The workouts have been going great. Granted, I'm sore just about everywhere from lack of use of many of these muscles, but it's a good pain. Really. I've felt quite invigorated after each workout this week. I truly forgot how much I like working out. My hubby and I used to lift weights six days a week together when we were in college. Now that we are going to the gym together each morning again, it's quite nice. I love having this time with him doing something we both like. My new eating habits are going good so far too. Though I have had my moments of weakness, it's not been that bad. Upon weighing myself yesterday (only doing it once a week), I have already lost a couple of pounds! I know what my usual fluctuations are for water weight and this is below that...so it's a good sign that it's actual weight lost. Plus, I've been drinking a LOT of water too. I'm hoping that I continue to lose the weight as I watch what I'm eating and working out regularly. Wish me luck and keep my plight in your prayers! lol! |
