My husband, J, and I have five children - four boys and a red-headed girl right in the middle.
My husband just returned home from serving in Afghanistan with the military (Go Army!) - he is my friend and strength and I wouldn't want to do this without him
We are getting ready to start our eighth year of homeschooling, and the kids are all very active in sports and our church programs. Our homeschooling style is more traditional, but the text books and curriculum are chosen specifically to suit our educational goals and our family's style.
I am blessed beyond what I deserve.
If you give a child a fish, you feed him for a day.
If you teach a child to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.
But if you teach a child to learn, you feed him for a lifetime
and he doesn't have to just eat fish.

Cute but true proverb. I want to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your very encouraging comments. :-) Merry Christmas to you and your family if we do not "speak" before then. :-) I am taking a break from the blogging world for a little while (except Tuesday or Wednesday) I plan on posting a little something.
Yes, I agree. One of my boys might starve if I only taught him to fish. LOL He won't eat 'em but he'll try to catch 'em to give away!
Be blessed,
Stacy
