With the snow and ice we have been having, God has blessed us this month with kind neighbors. Twice now we have had people show up just out of the blue to shovel and deice path ways. Kindness has not died away! One of the blessings was the gentleman next door that has only lived there 2 months. The other blessing came in the form of 2 young men that I have never seen before. They pulled up in a dodge mini van, pulled out their snow blower, shovel, and bag of ice. The job was done in record time! They loaded everything back up and left. Without saying one word! I am so grateful to these strangers! Our neighbor will be blessed back in gratitude from us with a tin of cookies and candies. It takes so little effort to bless someone. Most times it involves very little thought. Needs are usually right out in the open for all to see, if anyone cares to recognize the needs. Since our theme has been blessing others and taking focus off of ourselves, these little helpers that have showed up have been an immence teaching tool in our theme. They saw the need ( I think the huge ramp gave a clue Tonight we sang Oh Holy Night. and read Mark 1. John the Baptist prepares the way. We made personalized ornaments. A clear ball ornament and a little paint and imagination is all these little beauties take. And we made Chocolate Covered Pretzels. My children are very hands on learners and they can't stop talking about all we are doing. |

), they took care of the need, and asked and expected nothing in return. That is how each of us are to be. These kind strangers demonstrated to my children, the true act of kindness.
