A Homemade Christmas at SimplyVintagegirl.com

Hey everyone. This weak I decided to post about some more orniments. I know I have already done a lot of orniments but these ones are both new and old. They are old because I made the objects a couple years back. And they are new because I made them into orniments on wednesday. They are made with pearler beads and some string. Hope you like them

Blessings

Nov. 7, 2008 - Show and Tell Friday

Posted in Memes

This week I will be posting about one of my paintings. I don’t remember if this one was for school or just for fun. It is a picture of sunflowers in a Chinese bowl. I don’t know why I painted it in a Chinese bowl. I guess I did it because I like china. So here is my painting.

I hope you enjoyed

Have a Blessed Day

Nov. 6, 2008 - A Homemade Christmas

A Homemade Christmas at SimplyVintagegirl.com

This week I will be posting about my Christmas ornaments. I embroidered an ornament and I would post about it but it has the person’s name on it so I will just post about this one.

First: you cut out a pattern

Second: sew the pattern on a sewing machine (you can sew them by hand but it does take longer). When you are sewing it you need to leave a hole somewhere on the ornament big enough to stuff it with stuffing

Third: You should have a pencil or chop stick in hand. Now your stuff the ornament.  You put the stuffing in the hole that you left open. You want to make sure that the stuffing is good and compact. And if there are corners that you can’t get the stuffing into then use a chop stick or pencil to stuff it in.

Last: Now you sew the hole closed with a needle and thread.

Here is a picture of one of the ornaments I made.

I hope you enjoy them

Have a Blessed Day

This is first meme so here it goes. My first homemade christmas meme will be about my sugar crystal snowflake orniment that I made in 2001. It was really easy thing to do. All you need is pipecleaners, sugar, water, and a glass. It takes a few weeks to crystalize. But it is worth the wait.

Edit from Ems Mom. We did do sugar crystals that year but the crystals in this photo are borax. Lots of fun! Check out the links for recipes.
