As Life Goes On

• Jun. 15, 2008 - Fire, water, and preaching

Fire update:  The fire is 50% contained, evacuations have been lifted,  74 homes destroyed, 8 outbuildings, minor injuries to 8 fire fighters.  Keep praying for the firemen that the progress will continue and for those who lost everything.

Water:  We had our first meet of the summer, and I am happy to say it went well.  I only had 8 swimmers, but that is just fine.  It was a good way for me to get back into the swing of things.  I forgot how tiring it is to sit there all day in the heat.  We are off to a good start.

Preaching:  And a story I need documented.  When I coach my boys play in the picnic area at the pool. They are getting to know the other kids on the team, and the parents are getting to know my boys.  I got a report from a mom by the name of June about LM.  Apparently  he  shared the  Gospel with her  one day during practice.  He told her all about Jesus, and then about Satan and what a lier he is.  She told me she was so blessed by what he said!  And then she made the statement,  "I think he is going to be a preacher some day."  That would so be a God thing.  My son who struggles with reading and writing and stutters becoming a preacher.  It would be just like God to use him in that way.  We shall see...

Great to hear that about your son. My husband is a preacher, and no one would have picked him either. Although God did and he is wonderful (although I am biased)
Praying about the fires.
I no longer have a blog, but I still will be checking in on you.
Be blessed,
Chasity

Praise the Lord!

Please don't think this is preachy. I feel compelled in my heart to share this with you.

Moses stuttered and look what he did! In Ex.4:10 it says "...O Lord I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tonque."

How awesome! It sounds to me as if you are training the child in the way he should go. The Lord has quite a path for that one!!

Thanks for sharing!
