The Purpose of History:

     1. From history we hear about other's mistakes and learn to avoid the same.

     2. From history we hear stories of God's works and it builds (or should build) our faith.

     3. By learning about history, we become witnesses of God's power and hand in history.

Amen! :) My mom used to make us write an essay at the beginning of school each year on why we study history. :) It was a lot of fun, but after a few years we ran out of reasons. :)
