2nd part & update

Okay! We got in---all of us! Mommy is Shaindel, Motel's mother. Hannah is Tzeitel, the oldest daughter. And Sarah and I are villagers.

Here's the second part of "Ronald Rabbit and Theresa Turtle":

Leonard Lion condescended to the position shouting out the winner. Sir Stanley Snail ascended to the position of presenting the medal. Benjamin Bear took a writer’s pad and a timekeeper so that his judging would be fair. Orpheus Owl finally agreed to fly Theresa Turtle to the head of the forest trail. Everything was ready.

“Equipped?” thundered Leonard Lion. “Stand on your toe-hole, gear up, GO!”

Ronald Rabbit yelled “Speed and Success!”, flipped his downy tail, and leapt. Concurrently, Theresa Turtle stated “Slow and Steady”, loosened her shell, and hobbled away.

Theresa Turtle calmly rattled along the forest trail. She never stopped or meandered away from the well-marked trail. She did not avoid the mucky mud, the rough rocks, or the prickly bushes.

Ronald Rabbit proudly bounded down the forest trail. He paused occasionally to eat a wild carrot. He leapt over the mucky mud, sprang around the rough rocks, and hopped over the prickly bushes. Soon he felt very confident and stopped at a wild carrot patch. He nibbled and gobbled a large carrot meal until he felt stuffed.

“I’ll take a tiny after dinner nap,” he muttered as he flopped on the green grass and fell asleep.

Theresa Turtle eventually shambled past Ronald Rabbit. She laughed noiselessly at the rabbit’s snores. She began the swampy part of the trail.

Ronald Rabbit awoke half-an-hour later and saw the sun. “Uh-oh!” he squealed. “Theresa Turtle must be drawing close.” He flew up and shot down the trail. Soon he noticed the swampy tracks of Theresa Turtle. “She’s ahead!” Hastily, he gained the distance and passed Theresa Turtle with a snicker.

At the end of the swamp, Fanny and Felicia Frog were hopping. Ronald Rabbit stopped to brag. “Hey, frog failures. I’m winning a race—and I can beat you at hopping, too.”

Felicia Frog hopped across a water strand.

“That’s just a tiny hop,” mocked Ronald Rabbit. “See me!” He hopped across a big puddle. Fanny Frog tried the hop and scrambled out of the muddy water as a result.

Ronald Rabbit began showing off by leaping over decaying logs and across larger puddles. The frogs followed him. They went back into the swamp.

Theresa Turtle bypassed the rest of the swamp and began going across the last part.

After Ronald Rabbit finished showing off, he hopped on and then stopped to debate with tame bunny- Benny Bunny.

Theresa Turtle saw the finish line. She was surprised when the animals began cheering her.

“So that’s why wild rabbits are better than tame bunnies!” Ronald Rabbit concluded to bored Benny Bunny.

“If you’re so better than me,” Benny Bunny said, “then why are all the animals at the finish line celebrating Theresa Turtle’s nearing arrival?”

Ronald Rabbit perked his pink ear and heard the cheers. “Bye!” he hollered, springing away.

Theresa Turtle did not slow or speed even though she felt the pounds from Ronald Rabbit’s feet coming through the ground. She gained the goal and snapped the ribbon. Ronald Rabbit raced through three seconds later.

Benjamin Bear growled his determination of who won to Leonard Lion. “I declare!” roared Leonard Lion, “that Theresa Turtle has won the Forest Trail Race!”

The animals screamed, cheered, and applauded.

“Here is the medal,” said Sir Stanley Snail. “I expected you to win, so I engraved “Slow and Steady” on it. It’s my motto, too.”

Charity Cheetah slyly grinned at Ronald Rabbit. “Now do you admit your folly of pride?”

I love drama, so I'm so excited for your family! "Fiddler on the Roof" is one of my favorite musicals too! I hope you have a wonderful time and are a strong witness for Christ.

Please allow me time to learn more about you by checking your blog in the future before I add you to my friends list. Thanks!
