In the spirit of Gary Larson's Far Side, I created my own little comic. It was a blustery winter evening, and something goofy kinda hit me. I sat in the dining room and laughed for a good five minutes before I could actually put the gag on paper. Think it funny or not, I had a good time with it. Enjoy.

I wanted to let you all know...that I will be changing my blog template soon. Yes, indeed, it will be sad to see it go. But there is also a bit more to the story!
I will be starting a new blog soon, wholly devoted to drawing! I will post lessons on how to draw, and other things related to art. I want it to be a safe and cheery place for others to get tips, lessons, and encouragement in drawing.
Since I'm not ready to completely let my present template go, I will switch it to the new blog.
It will be simply called "the drawing blog."
We had our first day of school today! It seems so early, but it really isn't. I am so glad to be back on a rutine of learning, cracking those good ole' books back open. Art History, writing, with algebra just around the corner.... It feels so good.
This evening we are taking a meal to my cousin's house. He and his wife just had their fourth child, and I am looking forward to seeing her in person for the first time.
Poetry...hmmm...do you ever find yourself making up lyrics to go with the soundtrack of your life? "You see the moon and wonder what it's thinkin'. You look at your car and see it's a Lincoln?" ramble ramble... And then you think you found a hidden talent and start getting all romantic. "The rose, oh so lovely! The dove, so meek and mild. Were I but like you, the gentle, and soft like a newborn child. How my heart reels! The passion at my heels! Flee, for it may soon attack and make you oh so wild!"
Whoa, I was kinda' joking there, but that doesn't sound too bad! Ha ha! I crack myself up. Ooooo, I am no good for myself. Somebody! Anybody! Shoot her quick!
Feel free to not comment.
