September-The month of birthdays

Well, this is our month for birthdays. Two weeks ago our two youngest daughters had their birthdays, they turned 12 and 13 (they are 364 days apart, they say they are "twins" for one day). Yesterday our oldest daughter turned 26. We always love September. God definitely has a sense of humor. We couldn't have planned to have all of our daughters born in one month if we had tried. But we wouldn't have it any other way. I was telling my oldest that it still seems like yesterday that she was born. I can remember some of the smallest details about that day, but like I told her I can't even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. But I guess things that will affect us our whole life have a way of burning into our brains. I told her that she would understand what I was talking about once she has children of her own. I love to think back to different stages of my children's lives and remember each child in the varying stages they have come through. Then try to imagine what they will be like in the next stage. I am so thankful that God allows us to fill our minds with the wonderful experiences in our lives. I find that if I dwell on them I don't have time to think about the "other stuff" that isn't so wonderful.

Don't forget what it says in the Bible, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8)
