mozart & mud pies

January 28, 2006 - Ideas For St. Valentine's Day

Last year, my children made these for their Godparents.

You'll find the directions here.

And for all of their homeschooling buddies,

H. & K. mass-produced these little mice.

Very simple-- just heart shapes folded and decorated

with eyes and whiskers. The finishing touch... a little tail

of yarn or ribbon and a message written inside.

More sweet ideas can be found here, here,

and here (yummy!).

And of course, a couple of lovely library books to inspire you...

How To Be A Domestic Goddess

Baking and the Art of Comfort Cooking

by Nigella Lawson

I almost never leave the library without at least one cookbook.

Read... play... create... cook!

Celebrate love.

Me either! I love cookbooks.

I love the term "domestic goddess"... I mean really, it's about time we got our strokes, don't you think?

These are great--simple, fun, and lovely. I can't wait to show these to my children. I am sure they will be inspired.
