At Bannockburn the English lay,-- The Scots they were na far away, But waited for the break o' day That glinted in the east.

But soon the sun broke through the heath And lighted up that field of death, When Bruce, wi' saul-inspiring breath, His heralds thus addressed:--

"Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled-- Scots, wham Bruce has aften led-- Welcome to your gory bed. Or to victorie!

"Now's the day, and now's the hour; See the front o' battle lower; See approach proud Edward's power-- Chains and slaverie!

"Wha will be a traitor knave? Wha can fill a coward's grave? Wha sae base as be a slave? Let him turn and flee!

"Wha for Scotland's king and law Freedom's sword will strongly draw, Freeman stand or freeman fa'-- Let him follow me!

"By Oppression's woes and pains! By your sons in servile chains! We will drain our dearest veins, But they shall be free!

"Lay the proud usurpers low! Tyrants fall in every foe! Liberty's in every blow! Let us do or die!"

Via Dolorosa

Today, as you all know is Easter....the day we get easter baskets and such. But don't forget the real meaning of the holiday...if you could call it that.

It is the day the Christ rose from the dead!! We should never forget this! So, I encourage all of you to read either John 21 (i think it is) or Luke 22! I love the song 'Via Dolorosa'! Here are the lyrics! And the song is the last one on my playlist!

Down the Vía Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day
The soldiers tried to clear the narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see
The Man condemned to die on Calvary

He was bleeding from a beating, there were stripes upon His back
And He wore a crown of thorns upon His head
And He bore with every step
The scorn of those who cried out for His death

Down the Vía Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King,
But He chose to walk that road out of
His love for you and me.
Down the Via Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.

The blood that would cleanse the souls of all men
Made it's way through the heart of Jerusalem.

Down the Vía Dolorosa called the way of suffering
Like a lamb came the Messiah, Christ the King
But He chose to walk that road out of His love for you and me
Down the Vía Dolorosa, all the way to Calvary.
Please, please think of Christ's resurrection today as you spend time with your family!!

God Bless!
Anna
