"Eyes" for Him!

"Eyes" for Him!

Tuesday, November 20, 2007 - I am Thankful for . . .

     I really like this picture of my son.  My daughter took it of him early one morning at the beach.

     This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for a Lord and Savior who loves me and wants to fellowship with me.  I want to draw nearer to him and love him with all my heart.

     I am thankful for my husband and family, and that we are all together.  I know some families whose mate is overseas serving in the armed forces.  I appreciate the sacrifice they make to keep our land safe.

     I am thankful that I can homeschool my children - that we have that freedom.  Some countries don't have that.

     I am thankful for our home, our vehicles, our business.  Thankful for our good health; some people don't have that, either.

     Dear Lord, I am so thankful for all these things that I have mentioned and others that I haven't mentioned.  I know that without you, we would have none of these blessings.  You are so good and so kind to us, even though we do not deserve any of it.  But thank you once again for your blessings on me.

Count Your Blessings Instead of...

    Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
    Count your gains instead of your losses.

    Count your joys instead of your woes;
    Count your friends instead of your foes.

    Count your smiles instead of your tears;
    Count your courage instead of your fears.

    Count your full years instead of your lean;
    Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.

    Count your health instead of your wealth;
    Love your neighbor as much as yourself.
