The girls and I went out on a nature walk and collected items to use in the project. I gathered the whole family and we sat down to work on this banner!

I though it was really cute!
As part of our unit on Native Americans we made this fun craft.
We also watched a family film, The Light in the Forest.
The girls school will focus around a Thanksgiving Theme for the month of November. It seems like we are always rushing to the Christmas season and never take the time to REALLY think about Thanksgiving and what it means. we have done some things on this theme in the past but this year I have found lots of things online and I want the whole family to take part. Last night we all made a thankful journal that we will write in each night telling what we are thankful for.
Many of my ideas are coming from this site: http://aussiepumpkinpatch.blogspot.com/2009/11/30-days-of-thanks-giving.html
Here are our journals. Very simple yet effective!
