About Me

I am a blessed homeschooling mother of 6 married to my best friend Jim who is a naval aviator. Between deployments, moving, and new babies, life around our house is never dull for long and can often be quite entertaining. I've been told I should start writing it all down, so here goes...

"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12

"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness." Hebrews 3:13

Trying Not to Scratch

It's hot here!  And I have at least 50 mosquito bites from the Full Moon Dance Friday night.  I thought we were leaving all of the pesky bugs in Mississippi.  I would really like to know what I do that is so attractive to them.  If my husband and I are sitting in the porch swing they will literally eat me alive and completely ignore him.  And I swell up and get huge red welts from every bite.  My feet were so swollen from all the bites I got Friday night that I couldn't get my shoes on.

And people wonder why I am not the outdoor sort......

I just had to whine to all of you because DH is not here to whine to and I'm itching like nobody's business.  I've been looking up remedies on the internet and am thinking of trying the Vick's Vapor Rub before I go to bed.  Man, that stuff is good for everything!

So sorry you got all eaten up like that. Are you allergic to them? You can whine all you want, I know I would too. I hope the vicks works, let me know if it does, that would be good info to have. We just started our yearly ant invasion. I was hoping we left that back in our old town, but I guess not. At least these are the small ants, not the big huge ones we had before. And this too shall pass. :)

Try taking garlic pills. That makes your blood bitter to misquitos. Also try getting some citrenella to rub on your skin. I have to check into it but I think St. Johns Wart is good too. But let me ask my MIL. ( she is a herbalist)

Is ring good after lunch ?

Blessings and ((hugs)) my SSiC

Oh, I hope you got some relief. I hate those pests! They love me too. Maybe its because we are sweet! (lol)
