About Me

I am a blessed homeschooling mother of 6 married to my best friend Jim who is a naval aviator. Between deployments, moving, and new babies, life around our house is never dull for long and can often be quite entertaining. I've been told I should start writing it all down, so here goes...

"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12

"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness." Hebrews 3:13

Guess Who's Coming Home Tomorrow????

This is what has been sitting on my nightstand for the past five months.  Tomorrow I get the real thing!  Hooray!

Things that have happened since he left:

The Christmas trees are down (sigh of relief)

Caroline has started talking in complete sentences

A  13th, 16th, 39th,12th, and 9th birthday.

Valentine's Day

Five teeth lost, including Parker's two front teeth

Gas has gone up about $2/gallon

Seth is moving to Germany to finish high school (he leaves this Thursday)

His little sister had nephew number two

Three grandma visits

One homeschool convention

An entire baseball season

And two quarters of school

Several scraped knees, a fat lip and one concussion

I'm sure there are many more,  (I know I've rearranged the furniture and all the spring flowers have bloomed and then lost their blooms) but these are the things that stand out in my mind.

There are plenty of things to be thankful for on this list.  God has been good to us, as He always is...

Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in His holy habitation.  Psalm 68:5

And now He is blessing us with another wonderful homecoming to celebrate.

Oh, I'm so happy for you. And that is a great picture.
Wow, that is a lot of things that happened while he was away. I have great admiration for you military families, I truly don't know how you do it. I pray things go well with the hard things on the list.
