About Me

I am a blessed homeschooling mother of 7 married to my best friend Jim who is a naval aviator. Between deployments, moving, and new babies, life around our house is never dull for long and can often be quite entertaining. I've been told I should start writing it all down, so here goes...

Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12

"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness." Hebrews 3:13

Family Night at Boy Scout Camp

Last night we went out to visit our 13 yo son at Boy Scout Camp.  He seemed tired, a tad bit homesick and extremely dirty, but also just a little bit more grown up.

This is one of those growing experiences that you know is good for your children, but is awfully hard for their mothers.  He is on track to earn three merit badges by the end of the week, which I understand will give him a good start.  We are new to Boy Scouts and still learning.

I'm very thankful to have the troop we have here with committed leaders.  DH is looking forward to getting involved as soon as he settles in.

Those tents look like fun! I am glad your son is doing well. We've not tried Boyscouts. I know it would be good for my boys.

Ohhhh it looks like your ds had a good and growing time. When you said your hubby wants to get involved after he settles in does that mean he is retiring now ? I didn't know when that was to happen and wanted a update. [0=
