About Me

I am a blessed homeschooling mother of 7 married to my best friend Jim who is a naval aviator. Between deployments, moving, and new babies, life around our house is never dull for long and can often be quite entertaining. I've been told I should start writing it all down, so here goes...

Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

"Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12

"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness." Hebrews 3:13

Camp Dixon

Every year our state home schooling association hosts a family camp at a church campground not too far to our north.

It is always a wonderful time of Christian fellowship and encouragement.  This year was no exception.

Although, the sudden drop in temperature, did hamper our efforts a little.  Most of us were not prepared to go from 80 degrees to 30-something in a few short hours.

It was mosty just a great adventure, though, and something for the kids to talk about.

I especially love to hear the men encourage one another in their devotion.  They are just so much more practical and straight forward in their testimonies to one another.

From sharing what the Lord has been doing in their lives and churches to cheering on their favorite team in the blink of an eye!

What fun and what great photos. I really like the one with the baby and the girl looking through the window. Thank you for sharing.

Looks and sounds like such a great time. It's so nice to have such friends like that. Glad you had a good time, even with the drop in temperatures. :)

That looks like such a WONDERFUL time. Is that group a Christian group ? We have lots of hs'ers here but majority is not Christian. Makes it hard for those who are and something like camping I am very picky to go to with like minded people. I am thankful for HSB. Makes my world here not so small. I can hang out with like minded people online. ((hugs))

Sending you a HUGE ((HUG)) my SSiC

We have been thinking of doing this, we have a church campground willing and think it would be a lot of fun! Could you send me any details, like pricing, activities, schedules, length of the retreat, etc... thanks so much in advance!
