Jessica is completing her unit on Africa. 

Interesting fact:  Did you know that Liberia was colonised in 1822 by freed American slaves?  Also, it's name is derived from the Latin "free".  However, this did not sit well for the indigenous peoples.  There is currently much unrest in this country.  See http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/li.html
