Jacob & I have been taking a journey into Ancient Egypt for the last several weeks. It's been a blast! He has learned much of the geography of Egypt & how the civilization formed. Today we get to look at the construction of the Great Pyramid. I know he's thinking, "Finally!". |

Why is it that I'm not able to block my categories together? Or at least have links to each category along the side...
Ok, I got it. I'll just have to create separate blogs and link them together. *Sigh* But that'll work. |

We've come to the end of our poetry unit. So now Jess can slide right through some more grammar until we come to the next writing unit. We continue to work on essay skills through science & geography. Here is a sample of what she has done (although this was not one of her assignments
And Here And here I am. I can't find my vocabulary book. And I'm sorry for the can of soup, That I sneakily took. And yet enjoyed.
And here Cassie is. Yelling, "taken!" And yes I do know That the house smells like bacon.
And here is the emo kid that is apathetic. She lost her boyfriend And I failed to be sympathetic.
And here Jacob is locking the door. He threw an eraser at me And now it's on the floor.
And here is the emo kid's ex-boyfriend Looking awfully pathetic. His sister wouldn't let him where her pants And yet again I failed to be empathetic.
And here I am Looking around. The room is dark And suddenly I'm on the ground.
(And such is a commentary from my daughter's thoughts on a typical day and the world around her.)

FINALLY!! Jacob was able to work through his long division without getting himself thoroughly confused.
Now he's moving on to bigger and better things. Angles. |

Once again, Cassie is playing catch up. She'll be working diligently today as she catches up on her schoolwork from last week. We had a light day Friday to prepare for an all-night youth group event.
She will need to hurry though, if she would like to attend knitting club at 3. |

Welcome to our blog. I've tried others and I just didn't find them easy enough for me to navigate. So, yet again, I'm creating a new blog. Let's see if I can stick with it... |

Yes, I know you're reading. But you also have to read about Central America, algebra, your spanish assignment...
