Well, this is what we have learned...
1. No coffee- diuretic, acidic, destroys good bacteria
2. No smoking- we all know it is bad for the body but it actually destroys the discs and makes your back take twice as long to heal.
3. A GOOD diet- no white flour, no white sugar, no homogenized milk. Lots of fruits and veggies. No soda.
4. No pain pills- if you can't feel the pain you are more likely to push it. Your body will let you know if it is okay to move.
5. No steroids- Use tumeric
6. No antiinflammatories- Use alfalfa
7. Spinal decompression is great.
8. Acupuncture helps the pain and if you go frequently it will help heal the discs.
**treatments are expensive and most americans only want to go for treatments like once a week. In other countries they go more like every day and in two weeks they are healed**
9. Go from hot to cold. Hot bath and then lay on an ice pack and back forth. Always end on cold and add epsom salts to the bath water if possible.
10. Rick takes whole food supplements but not as consistently as he should. 10 drops of hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water 3 times a day is good but not more than 20 drops at a time.
11. In the beginning if he was in a lot of pain I would massage his back with an arnica massage oil I made and then rub on some DMSO and he would fall asleep like a baby for a few hours till the pain started again. Massages are really good.
PRAY and have a POSITIVE attitude. Believe it or not this really helps.
