today my kids played their 1st-ever April-fool's jokes on me... set up by hubby no less!

they popped over to granny's for an hr while i did some chores, then sneaked back in, quietly.  when they saw me, they doubled over, one clutching her back, the other- his tummy...

"ooh, i've got a big cut on my back/ _tummy!" they cried in unison.  i wasn't fooled though... but thought they were hiding some goodies under there :) as i approched, they both called out: "April Fool!", happily grinning from ear-to-ear.

very sweet, and i'd not even realised the date :(  so i'd lost my chance to fool all of them!

next year!!!
