I dreamed that a worship leader went up a staircase into a secret place. There he received some plans. These plans were put under my bed. I discovered them and tried to read them but I could not understand them because I was so thirsty. I thought if only I had some water they would make sense. What I was looking at was a set of blueprints to make musical instruments of the finest quality ever developed.
At church on Sunday, our worship leader talked about entering into worship before he led us into worship. He compared the architectural blueprints of the Tabernacle of Moses and the rituals the priests performed in conducting worship to the way we should enter in.
Upon entrance into the outer courtyard, we stop first at the altar and ask for forgiveness of anything that could hinder us from entering in. Then we stop at the brazen laver, where we reflect on Him and His Word.
Only then can we enter into the holy place. There we find the golden candlestand, shewbread and altar of incense. As we enter into worship, God begins speaking to us and things become illuminated (the glow of the lampstand). Healing is available through worship (the healing shewbread). We offer up incense to God through our praise and worship.
Only then can we enter the most holy place. This is a place of total darkness. In this place of intimacy, we are alone with our Creator. In His presence, a birthing of power allows us to go forth and do the things that Jesus did on earth. We can only access that power through intimate communion with God.
None of this can happen without the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is only through Him that we can gain access to Jesus Christ and God. It is only because of the Holy Spirit that we can once again have communion with our Creator as Adam and Eve once had in the Garden of Eden. While the veil was rent at the crucifixion, access to the heavenly Father can only come through His Spirit.
In my dream, the Spirit was represented by the water. When the Spirit is present, water flows from the throne of Grace, as described in Ezekiel 47. This water was described by Jesus in John 7 as the rivers that flow from our innermost being. I am thirsty for more of His Spirit. I want Him to completely fill me up so I can do the things that are described in Isaiah 61,
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to t he meed, the poor, and the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim liberty to the physical and spiritual captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound." |
