My pastor used a great illustration yesterday about believing the Lord for what we ask.  When you get your bank statement, do you trust that the money they say is in there is really there?  When you write a check, do you trust that the bank will honor the check and pay the person you gave the money to with cash?  When you sign your name to the check, does the bank believe you and honor you by accepting the check?  You can bank on the Lord's Word, too.  It is an everlasting covenant sealed with blood.  When He said, ask and You shall receive.  His Word is as sure as the bank.  Ask and You will receive!  It's that simple!  Believe!
