I had a dream last night that the movie I had borrowed from a friend was called Redemption.  I couldn't wait to see what the redemptive message was so I watched it tonight.  The movie was actually called "No Reservations" and I wondered if I had even heard right in my dream.  But by the time I had finished watching the movie God's message to me was clear.  It is His redemption that allows us to co-labor with Him. 

The movie had been about a woman who ran a kitchen at a gourmet restaurant.  When a Sous chef joins the staff, he humbly follows her lead.  Situations happen that cause a turnaround in circumstances.  By the end, I knew God's message to me was that He wants me to co-labor with Him.

He longs for us to work beside Him.  But that means having no reservations.  We must wait on Him and ask His opinion on our every move in order to co-labor with Him.  That is the desire of my heart!  But I'm so used to doing things my way.  I just plunge into things and then ask.

The greatest part of all is I'm a woman and God wants to co-labor with me.  He wants me side by side,  Religious Christianity has wanted to push women into boxes, saying they can't do this or that.  It was so freeing to me tonight to see that God wants to co-labor with me!  I felt such a cry rise up in my spirit.  Free me, Lord, from my old mindsets!  I want to co-labor with You so Your purposes can be fulfilled on this earth! 

Step by step, side by side,

in sync with My Master.

He lets me lead but I choose to follow

Although I'm still at His side.

We walk together hand in hand

for He and I are friends.

He loves me so.  I love Him back.

We walk side by side through life.
