I spent the day with my family and some friends at Carowinds Amusement Park.  While there, I received some insight for the upcoming generation of young people, whom God has chosen to carry His glory.

            A long line eagerly awaits the thrill of experiencing the fastest, most daring adventure ride in the theme park.  For two hours, the group at the front has been watching as others have flown by, taking the leaps and curves with astonishing speed.  Finally, when their turn arrives to slide into the seats, they notice four young people coming up the side stairs.  A park attendant rushes over to undo the chain across the employees’ entrance.  He welcomes the youth, ushers them to the cars others have been waiting for and places them in the seat others were about to load.  The line watches as the kids take off on the adventure they have waited so long to ride.  As the line mutters “No fair”, the park attendant apologizes, telling them the owner’s children always get first priority.

            Guess what!  You are like those owner’s children!  You are about to take off on the most exciting adventure ride the earth has ever seen!  While others have eagerly awaited what you are about to experience, God has chosen to give it to you!  The King of kings is getting ready to bestow power, prestige and privilege on your generation like never before.

Gifts will be poured out on you; these gifts include supernatural favor, signs and wonders, creativity, provision, and leadership positions.  Another Renaissance is about to explode as God releases creativity upon your generation.  Through you, He will demonstrate Himself to the world. 

            Jesus wishes to co-labor with you to bring His kingdom to earth.  He wants to train and equip you to take dominion, subdue the earth, and rule and reign over it for eternity.  Side by side, you will bring forth His Kingdom purposes.

            Preceding generations have been crying out for this kind of outpouring.  They have been praying for God to pour out His Spirit on them, to release signs and wonders, and to show Himself through them.  God has been answering those prayers in steps.  He has been restoring the five-fold ministry to the Church one at a time.  First, God restored the pastoral and teaching gifts.  Next, He brought back the gift of evangelizing.  Then He gave the prophetic gift back to the Church.  Finally, He has been restoring the Apostolic ministry.  With God’s grace and His five-fold ministry in place, He is preparing to show His Church as a shining light to the world.  God wants to do that through you.
