In worship today, I felt the Lord was speaking to me about the floods in the heartlands. The Lord's heart is for North America and from its heartlands, a river is flowing from the throne of grace that will wash, cleanse and purify our nation. This river, as described in Ezekiel 47, is releasing His glory over the United States.
The river in Iowa hadn't flooded like that in five hundred years. Five hundred years ago, one man, Martin Luther, dared to stand up and declare that salvation was a free gift from God, received only by true repentance and faith in Jesus as the Messiah. As new truths were restored to the body of Christ, an explosion of creativity occurred, culminating in a Renaissance of art, inventions, knowledge and architecture as never seen before.
Today in church I saw that new truths are now being restored to the Body of Christ. This new truth shows believers that each is called to be a minister. Each of us is a royal priesthood, a chosen generation that has been commissioned to go out and preach the Good News. As more people in the body of Christ take their places in the streets proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ to the lost, a new awakening will occur, causing another explosion of creativity to be unleashed that will be even greater than the last Renaissance.
I saw God stirring up the waters. A healing pool of Bethesda. I saw the rivers raging and they were carrying the lost in their midst. But angels were there with lifelines. They were hovering over the lost, ready to pull them in. The angels have been commissioned to bring in the harvest. The harvest is plentiful; the laborers are few. I began crying out this morning for laborers for the harvest. I began crying out for the angels to release the lifelines so the lost could be pulled in. Let not any perish. Let them all come in to the body of Christ.
I remembered the final scenes of National Treasure 2. A scene where the room was filled with gold (gold represents the glory of God). They were at the place where sacrifices were made. A river began raging within the room. It was filling up fast. Soon it was over their heads. They swam out to safety. At the time, I thought, O God, this is what you are doing this year. You are sending your rivers from the throne of grace that will usher in your glory.
Now as I watch the rivers raging in the heartlands, I am again reminded. Let your glory come, O King of Glory, we do want you to come and reign. Our floodgates are opened wide to receive you. Come and reign over our nation!
These raging rivers don't look like the Father's blessing right now, but what happens in the natural will happen in the spiritual. On Father's Day, our Father is blessing us! He's glancing our way and He's getting ready to move on our behalf! Thank you, Father! Thank you! Thank you for releasing your blessings over North America. Thank you! |
