In these uncertain times, God is the only financial institution we can trust right now.  The repercussions of what has been happening on Wall Street hasn't filtered down to our daily lives yet.  We cannot be certain of our financial security if we are depending on ourselves.  We must look to God to meet our needs.

Yesterday, I was reading Psalm 136 and it was fresh in my mind this morning.  As I offered God  praises this morning, I began inserting the things He had done for me and saying  "O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever." 

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever.  O give thanks to the God of gods, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.  O give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.  To Him Who alone does great wonders, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.  In Him Who by wisdom and understanding made the heavens, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

To Him who meets all my daily needs, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who has supernaturally given me my vacations for the past six years, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who has made my house payment each month, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who has provided all my family's clothing needs, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who gives me the desires of my heart, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who gives my children fine gifts, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who answers all my homeschool needs, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who comforts me when I am down, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who has placed a destiny in my heart and is working on my behalf to bring it to fulfilmment, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who will give us a better answer to our energy crisis than imported gasoline, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who will bring justice to the streets of America, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who will flood our land with His Spirit, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who will get our nation out of financial debt, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever. 

To Him who will even give our nation a surplus, O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy and loving kindness endure forever.
