Early in the campaign process, I kept hearing that God was raising up a Cyrus. On the morning after the election, the results had been tallied and Obama was declared the winner. I was thinking about the Cyrus anointing I had been hearing earlier and asked God to show me through His word what He had to say about Obama. I flipped the Bible open to Isaiah 41:27 about a Cyrus. Then Isaiah 42:1 caught my eye, and I knew the Lord was saying this about Obama.
"Behold My servant, whom I uphold, My elect in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice and right and reveal truth in the nations" (Isaiah 42:1).
A few days before the election I had a dream that I was in a race. I lost against Obama. When a four-wheeler went by, it was full of mud and I said it was because of those that I had lost the election. I felt like the muddy motorcycle spoke of the mudslinging that took place by the media against McCain.
I believe God is saying that Obama is a Cyrus and He can work through him to see his plans accomplished. Cyrus was not a believer, yet he helped set the Jews free. Obama is a believer, although his stance is liberal and opposes the Bible. I believe he will take his job seriously and God can see His will done through him.
Christians collectively need to stop being complacent. This presidency can drive up to our knees like no other to see that God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven. It will cause us to finally see our kingdom dominion mandate like no other. We would stay complacent if McCain had won. So I believe we may have some rough years, but all that can be shaken will be shaken so Christ can rule and reign in our hearts! |
