Trusting in Jesus When times are hard.

Please pray that we make the right decision.

We had an app. with the Oncologists yesterday. Their pushing us very hard to do chemotherapy, which looks like our only hope as far as treatment goes. Of course we can only put our trust in God and rely on him to work miracles. In the gospel of John, though, it says He (Christ) heals us of all our diseases and cleanses us from all our sicknesses. I stand on that promise!
The Doctors gave us an option between two different chemo's, one of them is done over a period of twelve months. The other is done in four months. The longer one is a lot less harsh on your body and requires a lot less time being in-patient; the shorter one, could result in more long term side effects or permanent ones and requires in-patient for two and a half weeks per month.
Out of the two the more intense shorter term chemo is 10% more effective than the long term chemotherapy. It's a difficult decision, pray that we are able to hear clearly what God wants us to do. I know I would have the strength to do either of those. If it's God's plan that I go through the short harsh treatment then I know he'll be right with me, right by my side all the way to the end.

Goodness....it sounds like you are having to make a hard choice. I will be praying for--rest assured! You have such a wonderful outlook on things--it is so encouraging that you are trusting in God even when times are hard!

On my last blog post, there is a quote at the very end by Jim Elliot that you might like (I'd post it here, but I don't remember it word-for-word!).

I also wanted to tell you that I got a Cbox on the sidebar of my blog--it's blue. I was wondering if you wanted to go and chat there sometime? If you ever happen to be on the computer, leave me a message there--maybe I'll be on the same time and we can instant message back and forth!

I'm looking forward to later today. I'm really sorry we couldn't walk earlier. Mom is napping now, and I'm hoping that once she gets up she'll be feeling better. I think dad said he'll be able to come home early today. When I come over, I'll be bringing you a couple of books you might enjoy.....I think I told you about them before.....but I don't remember!

Well, I better go. The kids are watching a movie right now in Mackenna's bedroom, and I hear Elisha making a fuss. (Oh how hard it is go keep the kiddos quiet when mom isn't feeling well!)

I'll see you later!

Love ya!

Love, Tessaloopianadoodledae
