We have started a book on the 50 states. We are using printable resources from many different places to learn about the states. We bought each child a cheap .99 notebook which we are putting all our info into.
The kids have been watching some of the Presidential Campaign and think it is pretty neat that we are learning about Alaska and Sarah Palin is the Governor of Alaska.
It always amazes me how one subject criss crosses into another. We have been able to use the Presidential Campaign as topic for several of our subjects. I am very proud of both kids , they have been asking some really thought provoking questions about voting and making important voting decisions.
I always enjoy receiving the humorous Political emails and the most recent ones have left me rolling on the floor in laughter. I try to find humor with both parties.
I think it is very important to teach the children patriotism and try to incorporate it into any subject I can.
