Dec. 4, 2008 - Please Help
I would like to ask all my homeschooling friends for a huge favor,one that is near and dear to my heart. We live in a very rural community. The economy has taken such a toll on our families and our community . It has affected every aspect of our community.
My favor is this. There is a contest going on at Care2 where a winning Animal Shelter will win $10,000 . Our local Humane Society needs this money desperately to save animals and help low income families spay and neuter pets.
We found these three little kittens abandoned on a dirt road. No more than 4 weeks old they could not even eat . We bottle fed them and got them healthy. They became such a blessed part of our family. Twin County Humane Society helped us spay and neuter. With out them we could not have afforded it.

To adopt an animal you must pay $15.00 and sign a spay/neuter contract. Animals must be sterlizied within 30 days or upon sexual maturity. Failure to do so results in a fine and court visit. Animals will be adopted to residents of Grayson, Carroll, or Galax or a county bordering on of these. No out-of-state adoptions
