Dec. 23, 2008 - Our Holiday Projects

The kids have been busy the last few months with holiday themed projects as well as their other lessons. We wanted to share some of their projects with you.

As you can tell we had a variety of projects ( jewelry, ornaments, lapbooks, coloring pages, holiday themed math sheets, sand art, felt wall art  )

The Thanksgiving lap book was the first lapbook we had ever tried. Both kids enjoyed doing this project.

We used holiday themed coloring sheets as a tool for language arts. They were to write paragraphs pertaining to something on the coloring sheet. Example: the coloring sheet which had the candle and greenery asked them to write a paragraph telling about our church's Hanging of the Greens  Service. We were able to cover several subjects with one project...art, language arts, history/customs, thinking skills, bible study and more.

Of course Caroline loved all the jewelry making. Zack enjoyed using the glue gun to make all the ornaments and other projects.

This was one of their favorites. A colored sand project they received at a friends church Advent Service.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the kids work. I hope it has inspired, and given you ideas for some projects of your own. I love seeing the projects other families have done and always get so inspired. One of my blogger buddies  Kristenph   always has some wonderful projects going.
