Classical Education defined

I found a great site to define classical education http://home.earthlink.net/~rivedu/Classedu.html

We are begining our first year of Classical Conversations www.classicalconversations.com

I have studied classical education for 4 years but I just finally "got it" this year and we are proceeding with a group of other families to teach the classical model, meeting once a week for encouragement, review, etc.

I also found a great history resource http://www.albright-news.com/history.html

About Me

We are a homeschooling family of 5. Our school is our life and we are very active. We like child-led, interest-led, Christ-led learning. This takes us on many different paths from school-at-home, to unschooling, to classical, to eclectic. We use Robinson, Abeka, Saxon, Oldfashioned Education, Ambleside and anything else that will fit the need at the moment. We learn, play and grow together.

What Type of Homeschooler Are You?

Salvador Dali Melting clocks are not a problem in your reality. You are an unschooler. You will tolerate a textbook, but only as a last resort. Mud is your friend. You prefer hands-on everything. If your school had an anthem, it would be Dont Worry, Be Happy. Visit my blog: http://www.GuiltFreeHomeschooling.blogspot.com
