This morning was sooo nice. Even though it got warmer in the afternoon, we woke up to cooler temperatures. We went to Northern Tools, Office Depot, and Claire's this morning. We made it back in time to watch our neighbor's baby in the afternoon. He will be returning tomorrow afternoon. Once they post the video about my mom and I couponing, I will post a link to it on here.

I hope that anyone that lives in the past of Gustav or knows people who do, are safe. We are having a windy day today, which would be from hurricane Gustav. We are supposed to go to Louisiana next week but mom says that if there in not electricity there, we are not going. Last I heard Gustac is now a catagory 1.

Aug. 31, 2008 - hurricane Gustav
We used to live right where they are saying Gustav is going to hit. My mom sent an email out a few days ago to a bunch of our friends that still live in Louisiana, to come over here if they want to. I woke up late this morning. I wish I had woke up sooner so that I could have done my chores sooner. Cammy cleaned out the fruit and veggie bins in the fridge. Treston defrosted the garage freezer. I defrosted our small fridge. Mom and I are going to go to Kroger and CVS this morning. I think Dad and I are going to go to Academy today to buy me some hiking socks for horse riding. At 7 I have to go to a neighbors house and walk her daughter's dog for her, since she had surgery on her knee and can't do it. Dad gets to stay home tomorrow, since it is Labor Day. He leaves for Austria on Tuesday and will come back on Sunday. We(our whole family) then leave the next day to go to Louisiana, hopefully, to celebrate Cammy's 10th birthday. Dad has work to do there and Cammy wants to have her b-day there so it all works out. I am not looking forward to having to drive for hours. Have to go shopping with mom, bye.

Sorry I haven't wrote in awhile, it has been busy. Right now I have two jobs. One is pet sitting. I am watching a lady's four dogs plus her daughter's one dog. I am also babysitting a seven month old named Servio. Tonight we are going to go out with some neighbors for dinner I am going to start horse back riding lessons with Cammy, who has been riding for a few months, on Tuesday. Off to do my schoolwork!!

It has been pretty much raining every day here. I don't mind it unless I have to go and check on neighbors dogs. I am trying to get into couponing. I don't know where to start and I don't want to bother my mom all of the time because she is busy with other things. I need to make a new youtube movie for our channel. Do you guys have any ideas???

fake fireworks, lip-syncing girls, and underage athletes, oh my. What is going on?? Word is going around that Chinese womens gymnast He Kexin is not 16, but 13. Hmm, if I understand correctly you have to be 16 during the Olympic year to qualify for the games. Nine months ago the Chinese government's news agency, Xinhua, said that He Kexin was 13, which would not make her eligable for the games. If she is in fact 16, why didn't she go to the news agency that said she was 13 and have them correct their mistake?? The rules are there for a reason people. You can't break the rules to fit your needs. Third team member, Jiang Yuyuan, is also having questions raised about her age. So, is the Chinese team going to be disqualified??

Who is watching the Olympics?? I am really into the swimming and gymnastics. Lets start off with the U.S. womens gymnastics team. Even after they tried so hard last night, they only walked away with silver. I felt so bad watching Alicia Sacramone not only fall off the balance beem, but then fall down during her floor exercise. A story just came out on Yahoo sports saying this:
BEIJING (AFP) - USA Gymnastics played down suggestions from a team official Wednesday that stadium staff here distracted one of their athletes so much she went on to make mistakes that destroyed their hopes of an Olympic gold medal.
As the gymnast at the centre of the controversy, Alicia Sacramone, admitted nerves got the better of her in the women's team final against China, USA Gymnastics distanced itself the from remarks made by Martha Karolyi, the team co-ordinator.
Karolyi said immediately after the US loss to China that officials at Beijing's National Indoor Stadium disrupted Sacramone's beam routine by delaying her performance for an extended period, breaking her concentration.
"First they called her name up, then they did not even put her name up even though the Chinese had finished … (it was) totally unusual holding," she said.
Sacramone fell off the balance beam then slipped over during the floor exercise, opening the way for the Chinese to post a 2.375 point victory.
Not only that but another girl from the U.S. team also stepped out of bounds during floor exercises. I guess you can look at the glass half full here and say that silver is better than bronze or anything at all.
Now onto a better note. Micheal Phelps is unstopable. He has won five gold medels while in Beijing. He has another race tonight, tomorrow night, and Friday night. He makes swimming look flawless. You can sit there, watch him swim, know he is going to win, and still be on the edge of your seat when he makes that final turn. His 11 career gold medals stamped him as the winningest Olympian in history. Despite having his goggles fill with water in the 200 butterfly last night, he still won.

Aug. 5, 2008 - Miley behaving badly
Well she has done it again folks the most popular teen female singer can't seem to quit clicking the camera button. Miley Cyrus, who is already richer than her dad, seems to have a habit of taking some pictures that are, shall I say, questionable. Is this a one man photo shoot or is Mandy Jiroux lending her hand?? You would think that Miley would have learned from Vanessa Hudgens who had a few revealing pictures of herself leak out. Then again, I guess imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. What is sad is all those little girls with Hannah Montana wigs that want to be just like her when they grow up. What makes me mad is that she says she is a Christian but doesn't care about how she dresses/acts. She wears a purity ring, but seems to like to put pics of her body parts on the internet and in teenage boys minds. Ok I am done ranting now.

So I am now getting over a cold. Yesterday was really bad. Today is ok. I started watching my neighbors dogs and cats today till the 11th. I will also be watching another of my neighbors two dogs from the eighth to the 10th. I think mom and I are going to Claire's and Sally beauty store tomorrow. I want to dye my hair crazy colors like green, red, and purple. I also want to get my ears pierced. I will have to post pics. Anyway this weekend is busy with algebra, chores, and work. This cold better be gone soon. Mom and Dad will being leaving for vegas baby on the eighth and returning on the 11th. They are going to renew their wedding vows. They will have been married for 20 years on August 14th.

Dad left for Chicago yesterday and will be fying to Pittsburgh tonight. He will be coming home tomorrow. While mom and I were watching a movie last night I started getting a sore throat. Nothing like a cold in the summer. yuck.

Jul. 26, 2008 - death by peanut brittle
A couple nights ago we got some peanut brittle. There was a big piece so I decided I would break a little piece off. I ended up cutting my thumb on the it. Yesterday we got up and drove to Austin where we went to the state capital. I will put all of our pictures together and making a slide show for our youtube channel. We then got into the car thinking we could find a Cracker Barrel on the way home, but no. We ended up eating lunch in Brenham and then going to the Blue Bell ice cream factory. When we were driving from Austin to Brenham Treston and Dad were looking for holey rock for Treston's aquariums, but no such luck. We picked up the dogs on the way home. Went home for a few hours and then went to pick up mom at the airport.

We dropped Mom off at the airport for her flight to Ohio on Tuesday. After that we came home and did our chores. Then we dropped off books at the library, dropped off cans and made $3.60 a piece, went to see The Dark Knight. After the movie we went to Best Buy and bought Guitar Hero Aerosmith for our wii. We also stopped and picked up some hair conditioner. Wednesday morning we piled into the car, dropped off the pups at the dog place, and then I drove us to New Braunfels!!! On our way there I came over a hill and spotted a cop car. Even though I was doing the speed limit and freaked out when the cop cars lights came on and he started coming down the road. I was freaking out. Thankfully he passed me and went for a speeding mini van. We had lunch at Olive Garden and then went o Schlitterbahn!! While we were in line for the first ride, I started getting dizzy and nauses. Then everything became yellow and my ears started buzzing. I was about to pass out from not eating enough and being in the heat too long. Dad found a place for me to sit down where I met a girl from the Fort Worth area who was also getting overheated. A few rides later, I was going down a tube ride and ended up going down backwards where I went under water.
Last night we went to Ryan's for dinner. For breakfast we went to a local resturant. We then went to Walgreen's and then Subway before going to Schlitterbahn. There was pretty much nobody there because it was supposed to rain. Dad and I rode the Master Blaster and the Black Knight before everyone had to get off the rides because of a huge thunderstorm that lasted 45 minutes. After the storm passed we played somemore. Throughout the day storms would roll through and we would have to get off rides. We went to a local BBQ resturant for dinner that didn't have plates. I had a turkey sandwhich that was really good. Tomorrow we are probably going to go to Austin. I have never been there so I hope it is nice. After Austin we are going to head home. We will pick up Mom from the airport tomorrow night. Sorry about any miss spellings, I am too lazy to proofread.

Mom and I went to see Mamma Mia on Saturday. It was a little to girly for me. I can't wait to see The Dark Knight. Cammy, Mom and I went to a play called Aida yesterday. I have seen it before in New Orleans five years ago with my mom and dad. Mom is leaving tomorrow morning for Ohio.

This is good news because now my dad, brother, sister and I can pick up some Subway subs before we go to Schlitterbahn, since they let you take a picnic in. I don't even want to think about how many homeschoolers called up Subway and yelled at them. Just for the record, I was not one of them. We are going to go to the library tomorrow because we have some books due and there is an activity about snakes that Cammy and Treston are interested in. On Saturday Treston is going to go with mom to the grocery store for a coupon swap my mom set up. Last night my mom and I went to Sonic and got some malts. It was nice. Just the two of us, no little ones in the backseat screaming and fighting. I have a orthodonist appointment on the 14th for a check up on my mouth splint.
Oh my gosh. I have such a craving for fried chicken right now. Mom made some chicken fingers last night. They were good, but didn't hit the spot. I would go to KFC but they are cruel to their chickens. What is worst is they KFC is five minutes away and Popeye's is 15. Why can't the better one be closer?? by the way, I am thinking of writing a story about the Amish. I find them interesting. The only problem I have is that there is this block between by brain and the paper. I have these great ideas in my head, but I can't write them down because I have a hard time expressing them. I am so random.

Mom and Dad bought me a purity ring off the internet on Thursday. I decided to get one to remind me to stay pure until marriage. Here is a link to it: http://www.c28.com/shopping/productdetails.asp?recordid=9411. Yesterday we went to see Kung Fu Panda. The movie was good but the theater wasn't. We went to one where you could eat a meal and watch the movie. Here is a list of complaints:
1. The strip light didn't work, thank goodness I had my cellphone with me for light.
2. it stunk. I don't know what the smell was but it stunk
3. our seating area had not been wiped down. There was water and crumbs. One of the seats was wet.
4. the bathroom floor was disgusting.
5. it took them forever to take our orders
6. they brought the check before my sister got a chance to order dessert.
We had beed there before and always had a nice time. I probably sound nasty, but my mom felt the same way.

Jun. 22, 2008 - camp rock opnions
So after watching the movie I had been waiting for since I heard it was coming out, I found it wasn't that great. It is so sad how the things we are most excited about, turn out to be lame. Anyway, back to the movie. Thanks to Barney, we now have a new Disney star, Demi Lovato. I was a little hesitant on how Demi's acting was going to be, seeing as this is her first movie. She did a lot better than I thought she would. I think what made the movie get 8.9 million viewers were of course, THE JONAS BROTHERS!!!! The awesome teen band that is now being compared to The Beatles, for all you people who have been living on Mars. Joe's character drove me up a wall at the begining but as the movie went on, and his soft side showed, I remembered why I wanted to watch the movie. Kevin's character was annoying. I'm sorry but I hate it when not dumb people try to act dumb. Nicks character was probably the best out of the three. To bad he didn't get a lot of screen time. All in all I hope to see all of these actors/singers in other films.

My mom and I might be on the local news channel. She and I went to Kroger with a bunch of other people for a coupon activity. The local news people taped my mom and I answering questions, I just don't know if they are going to air them. If we are on the video, I will post a link to it. Did anyone watch Camp Rock last night???? My sis and I did. 8.9 million people also watched it. I think I liked the music more than the movie. Joe Jonas was so cute in the movie. My brother and I have made a lot of money, probably close to $100, with our address curb painting business. My two friends are going to spend the night on the 27th. I think I already told you guys that. Anyway off to watch a movie.

sorry I haven't wrote in awhile. Dad stayed home on Thursday and we went to a baseball game. Our team lost. oh, and a bird pooped on me. Not funny!!! Dad left for Singapore yesterday and will be back next Friday. Camp Rock is on in six days!!!!! On the 27th my two friends are going to spend the night because their parents are going to New Orleans. While Mom is going to be in Ohio in July, Dad, Treston, Cammy, and I are going to spend two days at Schlitterbahn!!! Thursday night Dad, Cammy, and I slept out in the back yard. Dad went in around three because of it being too hot. Cammy and I followed around four. Other than being too hot, it was fun.
