• May. 10, 2007 - On Our Way
We drove to Riverside today and made very good time (no we didn't break any speed limits!) despite the fact we got on the road a bit later that planned. We left about 10:00 and got here around 4:00. We only stopped twice, which was good, and ate our lunch that I packed in the car. The kids did really well, played together while we all listened to the audio book of Eragon. It's quite long so we are only about half way through the story (which is MUCH different than the movie!).
We are staying with my SIL here in Riverside and then driving over to Legoland in the morning, where we will stay until Monday. It's very warm here, but reports say by Saturday the weather at the coast will be in the high 60's. We were planning one day at the beach, but it may be more like a pool day at the hotel! We will spend Friday and Monday at Legoland...no plans yet for the other two days.
The children helped me with the laundry, house cleaning, and packing and earned some spending money for Legoland. They find out it paid to have a good attitude when it came to helping! We didn't finish our lapbooks about Legoland yet, will do that once we get back home.
