My eldest brother was killed in a car crash last week. Since my mother will be reading this blog, that's all I'm going to say. I have a gazillion thank you cards to write on behalf of his siblings. I'm making a list and it's getting longer by the moment. Police, firefighters, & EMS from all over the state that came to stand guard at the casket, pay tribute to him & brought their rigs to the procession; the school system that opened it's gym for the luncheon afterwards; the 4H group that provided the luncheon; the city, whose workers worked without rest to finish a lane set aside for the funeral procession, as well as the free shuttle service they provided to the people coming to the funeral service; the Sherrif's office who set aside a room at the nicest restaraunt in town and paid for our dinner between funeral home visitations; the rescue helicopter who provided the flyover at the gravesite; the EMS where he worked for dedicating their new ambulance to him. I know I'm forgetting things.

Life is short. Be very sure you're right with God. Hug the people you love today, because they may not be there tomorrow.

So sorry about your loss. It is difficult to lose someone in such a sudden way.
Thank yous will get done. Make sure you take lots of breaks as you write to take care of you.
