Feb. 22, 2008 - Friday Meme--What's Your Favorite Homeschool Product?
Oh, this is an easy one! The computer. Where oh where would I be without my computer? I can search anything and everything online. I get major support from fellow homeschool bloggers online. I type out all of my schedules from my trusty little computer. Please, little computer, don't tire out!
I have another product that is very dear to me. My binders, of course! Anyone who knows me, or reads my blog, knows I'm hooked on my binders. Some people would loose it if they lost thier day planner. I would loose it if I lost my binders!!
Now, those two things aren't officially "homeschool products", but my homeschooling would be lost without them! I suppose my copy of The Well Trained Mind would count as an official homeschool product. :) This book is one of the things that gave me the confidence to homeschool. It not only lays out a classical education, but also shows what that looks like on a daily basis. Now, I think to make your homeschool day look exactly like that in the book is a hurculean feat. It's just not going to fit with most people. The nice thing about it is that, like me, you can use the book as a jumping off point. It can be modified to fit your family. Also, the resources listed in the back is wonderful. If you're not sure where to start when searching for say, chemistry extras for 3rd grade, you can flip to the back of the book for a great list.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyones "favorites" lists. I'm sure there will be a few things in there I've never heard of that could be my new best friend :)

My favorite thing for the last two years has been our science curriculum. I love Apologia elementary science! I wouldn't want to be without it, actually.
Now...I really have to know more about your binders. How are you using them? What's in them?

Actually, I think it would be an interesting experiement for all of us to go one week without our favorite homeschool product! LOL. I wonder if we would last out the week??

And to Daisy I must say: Bite your tongue, Honey...a week without the computer/internet, globe or Netflix....no thank you. ;) LOL!

Yes, binders and a computer as are on my top 10 list too. :o) I haven't read the WTM book, though I might have to get it and pick through sections I would like to read. :o)
