Feb. 25, 2008 - My Boys Were So Amazed
Here are the pictures from an email my husband received from a friend. These compare the size of the planets to the sun, then the sun to other stars in the universe. It really hit my kids how puny we really are, and what an incredible Maker we have.

the text in the picture below says "Jupiter is about 1 pixel in size", It then says "Earth is invisible at this size".
the text in the picture below says, "sun is 1 pixel at this size". It also says, "Jupiter is invisible at this size".
Antares is the 15th brightest star in the sky! It is more than 1,000 light years away.
I was stunned at these pictures. My kids mouths were hanging open. Now that's a great science lesson :)

Any time we can get even just a glimpse of how big our God is and how absolutely amazing His power is...that is a good thing!

I came accross these a few years ago and had them printed out on giant plotter at work. The are still hanging in our classroom at home.
