My Quivers Full

Mar. 11, 2008 - It's a party, come on in!!

Welcome to my cyber party.  I'm much too much of an introvert to do much partying, and my husband tends to make me look like a social butterfly when it comes to inviting people over.  This is the biggest party of the year for me, I think!

Help yourself to some yummy appeitizer meatballs.  These are super easy to make, especially if you use the pre-cooked frozen meatballs.

Meatballs:  pre-cooked frozen, or your favorite homemade meatballs

Sauce:

1/2 cup ketchup

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/3 cup sugar

1/3 cup vinegar

1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Place meatballs in greased baking dish.  Combine sauce ingredients.  Pour over meatballs.  Cook, uncovered, at 350 for 50 - 60 minutes.  Stick a frilly toothpick in each one.  Just try not to eat them all :)

Let me introduce myself.  I'm Kathy, a 37 year old Christian, homeschooling, stay at home mom.  I've been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 13 years, and we have three little boys, also known as monkeys, ages 8, 5, and 3 years.  Before homeschooling, my hobbies were cooking and phography.  Now my biggest obsession is homeschool planning.  I love the search for a good curriculum, planning it out, and finding fun hands-on projects to cement the lesson in my boys heads.

Our homeschool is eclectic, but Well Trained Mind based.  Since my boys learn best by doing something with what they're learning about, we do many projects/crafts with science and history.  I have absolutely no problem finding a curriculum I like as a base, then throwing a lot of it out and "fixing" it to work for us.

We haven't done co-ops.  It seems like everyone does them, but they don't meet our needs just yet.  We try to take at least one field trip a month, although I'm a little behind on that this year.  We do playdays with our local homeschool support groups.  We're very, very blessed to have many friends who homeschool, so we're not exactly the odd man out.

I hope you stick around here a while and take a peek into our little lives.  I always enjoy making some new cyber buddies.
