I have a Q: Why do people think that home schoolers I sooo smart?
I was just looking around for Jokes, and even though this made me laugh, it just seems so out of the question.
They treated me like something really special last year when I started going to public school, it was like "you were home schooled? are you like, in advanced classes? are you really smart? Do you know history? What's 2439,345 x 34,0000?" I mean omgsh! But whatever, I guess home schooled kids have some advantages...

How does a Homeschooler change a light bulb?
First, Mom checks 3 books on electricity out of the library, then the kids make models of light bulbs, read a biography of Thomas Edison, and do a skit based on his life. Next, everyone studies the history of lighting methods, wrapping up with dipping their own candles. Next, everyone takes a trip to the store where they compare types of light bulbs, as well as prices, and figure out how much change they'll get if they buy 2 bulbs for $1.99 and pay with a five dollar bill. On the way home, a discussion develops over the history of money and also Abraham Lincoln, as his picture is on the five dollar bill. Finally, after building a homemade ladder out of branches dragged from the woods, the light bulb is installed. And, there is light!
And here is another one I found which I can TOTALLY relate to. I think my mom and us kids have been asked these questions over a few times, so I thought it was funny!
14 Days of Homeschooling

On the first day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Can you homeschool legally?"

On the fourth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the fifth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "YOU ARE SO STRANGE! What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the sixth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "How long will you homeschool, YOU ARE S0 STRANGE, what about P.E. , do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the seventh day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE!, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, do you homeschool legally?"
On the eighth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E. do you give them tests, are they socialized, do you homeschool legally?"

On the eleventh day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "I could never do that, what about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, what about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the twelfth day of homeschool my neighbor said to me, "Can they go to college, I could never do that, what about graduation, they'll miss the prom, why do you do this, look at what they're missing, how long will you homeschool, YOU ARE SO STRANGE, What about P.E., do you give them tests, are they socialized, can you homeschool legally?"
On the thirteenth day of homeschool I thoughtfully replied: "They Can go to college, yes you can do this, they can have graduation, we don't like the prom, we do it cuz we like it, they are missing nothing, we'll homeschool forever, WE ARE NOT STRANGE!, We give them P.E., and we give them tests, they are socialized, AND WE HOMESCHOOL LEGALLY!

MY ANKLE HURTS SO BAD!
I was jumping on the trampoline and I sprained or broke or SOMETHING my ankle! Oh the pain, the pain!!!
I need crutches but I can't have any till after church tomorrow around 3-4 pm...
Ughhh.
Mom had a baby. Jessica. I haven't been on here, so I guess you didn't know she was pregnant? Well, she's a month old now! Sooo cute!! gtg.

Sep. 27, 2007 - VOLLEY BALL!!!! OMGSH LOL HAHA I'M WEIRD TODAY...
HI!
WOW! Volley ball was fun!!
OK so we went and we played right? Well, we didn't win but uhm we were awesome out there, even though some of us couldn't serve... (that was me, too.) But we still did some awesome ones. Like the ball came over and I was like "Whoosh!" And it the ball...and it was like "Whoosh" and went soo totally over the net to the other teem and knocked someone on the ground ("WHOOSH!") OMGSH it was fun everyone was like "HIGH 5!" Lol. =)
But yeah that was like one of my hits. This other one, I kept the ball in the air but some person who wasn't so good at Volley Ball was playing behind me and when I hit it to her, she it it behind her and we lost a point. Oh well.
We have got to be the most enthusiastic school out there because even though the other teem was winning, they were like sour faces. lol we were like =D and like making our heads go down, laughing. Like, I think the other team was going "What the heck could they be laughing about?" Well, I forgot but it was fun anyway.
They beat us by 2 points. haha dude we are gonna kick tail next time which is uhm...tomorrow...less than 24 hours....huh.... Anyway so yeah, it wasn't because we were laughing so much we forgot to watch for the ball to come over the net and forget to go after it. We were laughing in between. Like when they lost a point and had to serve. Yeah but I had a great time and I don't mind so much if I have to loose, as long as everyones having a great time and feeling good. Doesn't mean I don't want to win. That would be awesome! I'm saying that I really am not going to be let down by that. That's crap, man. You gotta go with what your aiming for, you gotta get out there and be you. And, if you aren't so good at the first few games, you have to keep trying. Be cool, be up-beat, be the best you can be. (lol that's our moto.)
Oh! And we had to have 1 8th grader because one of our 7th graders couldn't play. But our teacher didn't pick you know, the best 8th grader, so technically we won. =)
Loves all, and I'll probably post again to tell you about tomorrows game.

Once upon a time there was an awesome guitarist named Gary. Gary was amazing; he could play any song you can think of.
Well, like any awesome guitarist, Gary started a band called Gary’s Band. After a while they weren’t getting any gig and such until one day they got a phone call.
It was a friend of Matt Thiessen from Relient K who had heard them one time when Gary's band was playing at a youth function. They were blown away when he told them that he thought they were good enough to go on tour with the group.
With the guys in Gary's band ecstatic to be playing with such an awesome group as Relient K, they packed up and took off to California. While on the way to California it began to rain heavily.
Gary began to worry they wouldn't make it to California to play! So they just sat, somberly, looking out of the windows.
Then things started to get worse. First off, the rain wasn't rain at all; Gary saw when he looked harder.
It was hail. And as he looked, the hail began to grow larger.
Soon it was the size of ping-pong-balls! "We got to stop!" Matt Thiessen yelled back from the steering wheel.
So they kept going till they came to a small town called Happy Town. They went to a hotel but when they went in, there was nobody there, then all of a sudden the door closed behind them.
They tried to open the door, but it was LOCKED. So they decided they would just go to sleep.
So they found 3 rooms and went to sleep. When they were all awake, they decided to go find the kitchen.
When they found it, they opened all the doors. But all that was in there was tomatoes and pineapples.
So they ate them. All of a sudden the floor opened, and Matt Thiessen fall through before they could stop him.
Under the floor was a secret hideout for Thugs! The thugs were not there so they did not have to fight anyone.
Matt said, "How am I going to get out of here?" Then the thugs jumped out from behind a door.
One of the thugs grabbed Matt's arms while another grabbed his feet. They busily began tying ropes around them while a third thug supervised.
Matt suddenly had a brainstorm! Meaning that the hail from outside was now falling on his head.
While he was being tied up, he said that his only regret to life was that he had never met an Elvis impersonating Penguin. One of the thugs said, "I can do a great impersonation of Elvis!"
He pulled off the black mask that he was wearing and underneath was a pink penguin. "I just wanna be your teddy bear!" he sang!
Then, while all the other thugs were watching him dance, Gary and the others pulled Matt back up with a rope. They ran to the door so that the thugs wouldn’t get them, but the door was still locked!!They decided that they would have to break out of a window. The only problem was that the only window in the whole building was at the very top of the tower where they could hear a mysterious groaning. Then suddenly, they heard the door creak open. Matt jumped up and turned around, and the others turned their heads slowly. It was a scary-looking man playing the Great Divide by Hanson on a green and blue electric guitar. He threw them a rope and left, locking the door again. So Gary and Relient K band ran over to the kitchen and called the police to unlock the doors for them, and they got into their car, but it wouldn't start. They ran over to the body shop 2 miles away. Then they came back and they're tires had been popped.

Hey everyone. Been busy lately... sorry I havn't posted yet, It's been a while. Xp
My friends are having a huge birthday party for Kendra (the post below has a picture of Kendra) and Abbie. Abbie is turning twelve and Kendra is turning eleven. It's gonna be at the church (which I used to go to and that's how I met them.) We were going over plans. It sounds really fun. It's on May 5th, which is in eleven days.
I found this really awesome site. It's called Ultimate Guitar. I find guitar tabs and chords on it and I use it for the piano. (I know it's weird...) But ya know it works. So I've been playing the piano a lot. I really like playing that one song "Enough" By Barlow girl. Or some other stuff by Barlow girl like Never Alone. That one is kinda difficult in the begunning of the song. The intro is easy but the first verse is like hard because your two hands colide into eachother all the time in that song. (If you play the piano you'll know what I meen.) I probably should be playing violin more since it's my #1 instument, but I'm enjoying piano more at this point. Apr. 5, 2007 - A late blog entry... *sigh*
Hi everyone I'm sorry for not posting sooner. Things have been crazy....and i was grounded from the computer until I picked my room up.
( hate picking my room up...) Anyways, I'm here now.
That's my friend Kendra. A few days ago I went to my friends house. Kendra and I had fun...but I'm sure we would've had more fun had her older brother not been there. Tanner , here older brother stole my head band (its a really cute stripped black and white one) and I was running after him . I stole it back and then tried running up stares but he caught up and when I got to the top he pulled me back by my waist and I ran up again and again he pulled me back. This happened 3x total.Then I ran up and started smacking him (not to really hurt him, but it was fun!) Yeah, anyway, lets forget about him. When it was time for me to go, I asked my dad if she could come with us and stay over night "nope" he said ..I'm like "please??" he's like "no.." I'm like "ohh okay......" and then after a couple second pause I'm like "are you sure??" LOL it was funny. So when he got there, we started off and I mentioned to him what I said over the phone and how Kendra laughed. He's like "Oh, you wanted her to come to our house?" I'm like "uh..yeah." So then he talked to my mom, came back and told Kendra he changed his mind (her mom already said it was okay) So she came to our house. We set her up with a myspace . That was fun. We took lots of pictures. We went on a four mile walk then we're like "that was fun, lets do it again, but my parents said "No,"
Well, my ice cream is dripping into my lap now. I think I'd better go.

Mar. 9, 2007 - Wowzie!
Today was pretty nice. It was sunny all day long, and we got to relax a bit after being so tied up with everything and everyone. We were outside for sometime on our trampoline soaking in all the sun we could passably get, especially me because I think I'm too white. I also got to catch up with things on the computer..I have so many things to do on here it's not even funny.
After dinner my dad went to go pick Jo up from wrestling. On the way back, another car hit ours turning into my dad's lane, and totally smashed the one side that hit our van and only put a ding and scrapped some paint off of ours. Well, we are thankful for that. But this was not a good day for my dad in the first place so the accident kind of totaled his day. I think he deserves a nice back and foot rub when he gets home.^^ Anyway, I'm not too worried about the whole thing. It didn't do barely anything to our van and it wasn't our fault, so it's not like a loss of our car (or money) , like the other people who hit my dad.
I hope tomorrow is sunny too! I LOVED today and yesterday! (Yesterday was the same.)

Heylow everyone! What's up??? We just got back from church. We switched churches AGAIN. For all of you who don't understand, we always "church hop" 'cause we can never find a church we are really comfortable with. I've been really sad lately because I really didn't want to leave our old church. I had a lot of best friends there. My mom and dad said that there were problems with the youth group...and with the church. I miss my friends all the same though. Well there is someone at our new church who has a HSB! (That is rose...I've added her already.) Since we are staying here I hope I can get comfortable with it...
There's this show on tonight called "The Amazing Race" with Rob and Amber in it again. It's "The Amazing Race All*Stars" actually. We only watch it 'cause Rob and Amber are in it. -If you're wandering who they may possibly be, they are a newly wed couple we watched on surviver...they got engaged in the Surviver Reunion, and now their married. They both won 1st and 2nd place! Wow! That was the best surviver in history. Anyway...so now their in The Amazing Race and their soo going to win. They are soo cool.
