It's been a fairly nasty month of August here. Temps climbing to at or near 100 with higher humidity. The kind of days where just walking upstairs to take a shower leaves you with a few beads of sweat. We've had some good rain in the last 2 weeks or so, but that has just served to make it even more humid during the hot days.
TODAY... (oh please oh please oh please let this be the end of the summer temps).. lower 80's, low humidity and a very nice breeze. I left the windows open all night last night and all day today. It's been positively heavenly!! I know the end of the hot temps this month is probably just wishful thinking, but this has SO made me yearn for fall. Fall & spring are my favorite seasons. I think the weather finally decided to cool off a bit after seeing me break down and buy a small desk fan at Walmart. We have an air conditioner, but the computer room tends to stay a bit warm. I think the weather was there watching me! It's probably some sort of conspiracy between Walmart and the weather. Beware.. beware... Walmart is evil! It will suck you into it's lair and won't let you go until you've spent at least $100. ;)
Aug. 18, 2007 - Untitled Comment
We've had really hot weather here also. But like you. we are also getting a break. It's suppose to be in the upper 70's today!!! :) You asked me how long I stay on topics. I really don't have a set time. I usually stay with a topic until I feel I'm done with it. I'm kinda bad about not having a detailed plan. I usually have only a rough sketch of what I want to accomplish for the year. I really would not suggest to anyone to do it like I do, but that's just how I am wired and that is what works for me.

The high humidity makes it difficult to get in my required cups of coffee. ;o) Hello there, thanks for the comment. I noticed you listed me on your friends and I have done the same.
I know someone with a cat that looks just like your avatar! I would love an orange kitty, but we have enough trouble with one black cat and one tabby that just learned the downside of stalking skunks!

Aug. 22, 2007 - HOT!
Same here on the weather. Our's here in VA has been very hot and humid up until this week. This past weekend though was GORGEOUS hovering in the low to mid 80's! Right now it is in the 70's and BEAUTIFUL! I hope it continues!
