Phillipians 1:6

"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

I have been meditating on this verse all week and it has brought so much encouragement!  We've had an unusually busy week...and it seems we've not gotten anything accomplished.  In reality, we've probably accomplished more this week than normal, but since I had such high hopes of everything I wanted to get done, and I didn't get everything done, so now I'm frustrated because of the things I didn't get done, rather than the things I did get done.  ???? Did you get all that????   (I'm so glad I wrote that on my blog, rather than one of my children writing it on a school paper!)   The Lord has continually brought Phil. 1:6 to mind this week to encourage me.  Sometimes, I get frustrated because I can't do it all; usually when I get Iike that is when I'm a lot harder on my kids.  On Monday and Tuesday, they were being mean to one another, they weren't getting their chores done without me staying right over them, they were having a hard time concentrating on school.  I was getting more and more frustrated!  Then, like a light bulb, the Lord reminded me of this verse.  It gave me encouragement for me and my children.   I started looking at everything differently, when I got frustrated with my kids I would think of that saying, "Please be patient with me, God's not finished with me yet."  And then I was reminded of my own life and how many times the Lord could think, "I've told her over and over to put on love above all else" or "I've told her over and over to worry over nothing, I will provide all of her needs"...the list goes on and on.....but you know what....my Heavenly Father doesn't think those thoughts.  He loves me regardless of my weaknesses, he provides endless encouragement in His Word, and He will continue working on me until the day of Jesus Christ.  GOD IS SO GOOD!!

**Just a little update on our baby pigs....they're still not born.  My son is spending the night with his Mawmaw tonight and my husband will be at work.....knowing my luck, they will be born early tomorrow morning...the ONLY morning that they're not going to be here!!  Can you tell I am very concerned about this?!  I keep telling them that I am NOT helping deliver pigs....and they just look at each other and laugh.....I'm nervous!

I'm sure you could do it! You wouldn't like it, but you could handle that job if need be. (Just make sure you blog about the whole experience!) ;o)
