Thanksgiving Quiz

Here is a Thanksgiving Quiz, I came up with, for you to take to test your Thanksgiving knowledge...don't look in any books, just see what you know!  I'll post the answers in the next couple of days...let me know (email or comment) how you did!

1. What was the year for the 1st Thanksgiving?

2. Name 5 people at the 1st Thanksgiving.

3. What fraction of the people, who arrived on the Mayflower, lived through the 1st winter? all, 1/8, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2?

4. Who was the Governor upon arriving at Plymouth Rock?

5. How long did the 1st Thanksgiving last?

6. Who was the Governor by the time of the 1st Thanksgiving?

7. What President first declared Thanksgiving as a National Holiday?

8. Who taught the Pilgrims all they knew about planting and hunting? (Hannah says this one is way too easy, but hey, I have to give him credit!)

9. About how many people were at the 1st Thanksgiving celebration?

10.How many of these were women?  (Think about this ladies as your preparing for 10-20 family members!)

11.Where was the 1st Thanksgiving celebration located (specifically)?

Good luck and have fun!  ...and if you haven't come up with answers for yesterday, do that too!

Christy,

You may or may not remember me but I used to work with your mom at the City of Nixa. I truly love your sweet mom and while I worked for the City was able to keep up with how you and Paula were doing. Your mom forwarded on the link to your blog site to me today and I was excited to get to see what you and your sweet family were up to. I was so blessed by reading your entries! My sweet husband and I (after 10 years of infertility) have a 2 1/2 year old boy, 16 month old boy and I am 5 months pregnant with a little girl. I too see how the Lord is completing his work in me through raising my children. I also praise him for ten years of infertility which deepened our faith and my husband and I's love for each other. Thank you for your beautiful postings of your life with your family. I look forward to reading more. God bless!!!
