July 30th, 2008---Day 2
Its only 10:45 and I'm done with school!!!
Yesterday, I was still doing it after lunch! But last night I decided I would have a good day of school day today and I did.
History/Geography was definitely my favorite subject. I learned about the hemispheres. There are 4--southern, western, northern, and eastern. A hemisphere is half of the earth. Today was a good day. I didn't even mind typing or math!
In Math, I learned how we got our yard, inch, and foot. The foot of the great French King Charlemange's was how we got the foot. We got the yard from Henry I of England. The length from the tip of his nose to his finger tip was a yard. They had to adjust the length of the foot to fit it evenly into a yard. Interesting, huh? |
