Daddy is off to work. He is working evenings and nights for a season. Tonight he works until 4:30 am and then will be heading to the men's breakfast at church. There he will cook, eat, play and hopefully be able to stay awake to listen to the service! What a great sacrifice he makes to provide for us! The girls and I were lucky enough to spend the morning at Miss J's home, visiting, munching yummy muffins and crafting. Miss J has 5 precious angels. What an encouragement she is to me! I have begun collecting scripture and quotes recently. It's something I have always wanted to do. My dear grandmother did, I have a few tidbits of hers that we found in the house over the years. I believe I will add her things to my book. It will be lovely to see her handwriting amid my own. She was a woman of great wisdom. Of course I didn't recognize her wisdom until she had gone on to heaven. I have begun to pray for a mentor of her caliber. We recently passed the one year anniversay of my paternal grandmother's death. It also happened on that day, my father sent over both my grandmother's sewing machines. As I opened them, I caught sent of each grandmother...I sat crying on the kitchen floor for a bit. So bittersweet.... Tomorrow is Good Friday. The day on which my Glorious Savior died for me. May my heart know the Cost of his awesome sacrifice and the Power of His Triumph. May I live for Him Who Died for me. God Bless, Mummy |

Welcome to My Three Daughters! I pray this blog to be pleasing to the Lord. Commit they works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3 We have been homeschooling for almost 3 years. The first year we did Kindergarten with a state cyberschool, it was a great way to get our feet wet and build the confidence we needed to go forth with teaching our children at home. Our daughters are Lovely Locks, Amazing and Cuddle Bunny. Obiviously not their real names, but for anyone who knows us personally you can figure it out! Lovely Locks is 8 years old and in the second grade. She has recently earned her white belt in Tae Kwon Do, an exciting accomplishment. She loves to read. Anything. She is also quite a writer and has written and illustrated several of her own stories. This week she wants to be a children's writer. Of course this may change next week to a vet or a firefighter, but she always comes back to writing! Amazing is 5 years old and is doing a Kindergarten curriculum. She is a very generous child and loves others with a passion. Often making gifts for adults at our church and presenting them with joyous hugs! She is showing a gift for math and is quickly following in Lovely Locks ability for artistry. Cuddle Bunny is 4 years old and in Preschool at home. She is very bright and very busy. Though quite daring in her antics, she is very girly, wearing pretty dresses that "go up" is a neccesity to her day! She loves to be held and "give loves," hugs and kisses. Daddy is a wonderful husband and father to us. He works very hard as a carpenter (following in our Lord's occupation!) to take care of us. He also plays the guitar in our church's Praise and Worship band, something we all enjoy! We have been married for 10 wonderful years. I am Mummy, as that is what the girls call me. I came home from working before Lovely Locks was born and never went back. I had wanted to homeschool even before I met Daddy. The Lord graciously showed us the way to do it, but that story is for another entry. I hope you will enjoy getting to know us, God Bless, Mummy |

Above all else guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23 NIV This is the verse the Lord gave me as to why we were homeschooling. Our children are not able to guard their own hearts. They haven't the maturity, wisdom or self control to do so. As parents it is, of course, our job to "train them up in the way they should go." Remember the Sunday School song: Be careful little eyes what you see, Be careful little eyes what you see, For the Father up above is looking down in love, So be careful little eyes what you see. It continues with, be careful little ears what you hear, be careful little lips what you say. This song applies to all of us, God's Children. Everything we expose ourselves to is taken to heart. What you fill your heart with is the wellspring of your life. We are certain we are to shelter not just their physical bodies, but also their spirits, their hearts. Mummy |
