Ordered

All of the curriculum and books needed for the next year have been ordered and I can't wait for the boxes to begin pouring in.  I want to look, touch and flip through all of them and then I want a day or two (or three?) with no children around so I can go through them, highlight, set up schedules, make lists and plan out our year.

We've had a much calmer week this week.  Samantha and Jonathan are at their grandparents for the week and its just been Christopher, Andrew and I.  We went to the pool on Tuesday and plan to do so again today after homeschool parkday.

Our 4th of July plans are the same every year.  We get together with my siblings at my parents house and we grill out, play some outdoor games and enjoy one anothers company until its time for fireworks.  I'm looking forward to seeing my nephew who is walking now.

What are you using for your younger croud? Just out of curiosity. I can't imaging having to buy for more kids....my one is spendy enough. WOW! We should get money each year from our taxes back. LOL!

Hi sweetie pie! We just received our new curriculum in the mail just over a week ago and I still have a lot to go through. I am in the process of making a schedule for each child. I also just found an awesome pre-k curriculum for Ben. It's found at www.hubbardscupboard.org. It has 3 stages of pre-k: 2s, 3s, and 4s. We are starting this year with 2s (even though he will be three). It's completely free, too. I wrote an entire post about it, lol.
I pray you are doing well and had a wonderful holiday weekend. I know we did. I'm looking forward to getting back to the blogging world! :)

I found you'd listed me as a friend, yet I've not added you to my list. Consider it done. Even though your post is from July it struck my curiosity. Believe it or not, as retired homeschool mom after fourteen years of ordering curiculum over the summer, I actually missed not doing it this year. I guess it's that adrenaline rush associated with planning, etc.

Nice to "meet" you.
