what a day.

Ever have a day you never want to repeat? Today was my day.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong and beyond.

The kids have been tornados all day.I would clean up and they would mess up.My daughter must have changed clothes 10 times today.

They have been in and out of the pool all day.......drying or tracking water across the floors. Then they decided to dump the water from the pool so I had to fill it back up.

I got  a bank notice that my hubby had over drawn my checking account. There went my gas money and some money I had saved to straighten out the account.

Then the littlest one of the bunch decided to tear down the screen in the bathroom and break it into. Then he went to the bathroom on the floor not once but twice.

I try to get laundry put away but the kids keep getting under foot and I can't fold clothes or try to pack for the beach with them bugging me. So I gave up and went back downstairs.

Then he broke the blinds on the back door. Then while I was trying to cook dinner he stripped off his clothes, got RED nail polish and covered himself all over his face and body with it. I had to stop cooking dinner, try and get the polish off him with remover~ that didn't go over so well, then I soaked him in the tub and it finally came off.

Back to dinner, I finally am getting to put the meat on the grill since I settled everything inside and here comes my daughte and son with baby kittens they found from a feral cat living in my shed. NO we can not keep them I say. But they are sweet but too little to leave Mommy and I don't want any more animals.

So off they go pouting.

So my hubby isn't home yet by 9pm and my SIL is here to drop off the baby and I have my hands full, haven't cleaned up dinner yet from cleaning after the kids and trying do get some stuff done.

I'm sitting at the kitcen table holding the baby trying to explain to my daughter that she can't play with the baby bottles that I need them and then my big Chessie dog gets into a fight with my lil Yorkie or a chicken bone out of the garbage. So my Yorkie is all bloody, I can't get up fast enough to break it up because I'm holding the baby and my daughter is blocking my path. My yorkie has a wounded eye and his face is all blood, he is screaming and no one can touch him. FINALLY hubby is home and tries to clean up the dogs face but he is screaming and it looks bad. I put him in his crate and I'm praying he will make it through the night. I doubt a vet could do anything because his eye is still there but we can't ell if its the eye or under neath, I am praying ots under neath and after he calms down we can wash it and doctor him.

What a night. It's late, hubby went back out to the farm to do some things and it's all most 11:30pm, he gets up at 4am for work.

He has been so busy with mowing hay after he comes home from work. His Dad keeps getting more mowing jobs for hy but he expects hubby to do it.

We go on vacation this weekend and my FIl doens't want him to go because he needs him here for mowing. Not stopping to think he needs time with his family and most of all a break for rest. Our yard work isn't finished yet because he is so busy.

I'm off to bed.

Ramble or two

We can not make it without TV in the livingroom. Isn't that sad?

The DVD reciever went bad so when you watched TV it would freeze or just go black. Hubby called the Dish network and still nothing several times later so I called last week and they shipped me a new reciever that day. (Hmmm, women rule!)

So now we have TV and everyone is right with the world again. The kids can watch their shows and hubby can watch his.

Me........I watch TV in the bedroom when I go to bed at night or when I'm getting the baby to sleep. I discovered a reality show last night called "Gone Country", Bot it is a whoot. Bobby Brown gone country. I have seen it all now. Remember him? He was married to Whitney Huston and they were crazy for drugs.

There is a few others on there like Marsha from the Bradys? She hasn't sang yet but she says she can sing. This shw is put on by John Rich frm big and Rich. It has been funny so far but Bobby seems to drink too much.

I have been cleaning the upstairs and have our bedroom to do then I will be happy. Haileys room is still kinda clean but she is messy so bad! The Guinea Pig she has is messy too.

The weather has been so warm today. We did have a thunderstorm and heavy rain once today but it was really warm.

The yard is all muddy and just wet! Big puddles of muck! I'm ready for the yard to dry up so bad. The dogs are muddy, my shoes are muddy. MY FLOORS are muddy. I'm tired of cleaning!

Well, off to see what the kids are doing and I hear Logan wrestling with one of the dogs.

Decluttering

Where does all the clutter come from?

We have lived in this house less then a year and my daughter room is sad. I mean sad from all the clutter. toys everywhere and just stuff piled up.

I have packed away 4 huge tubs of toys this morning with hubbys help.

I'm still working in there but taking a break!Clothes are piled a foot deep in the floor and the dressers.I found new sneakers in the closet she had never worn.

I am throwing off a ton of junk too. I am having a yard sale for sure next summer and unloading this stuff. What I can't sell I will freecycle!

Well off to the mess again!

Jan. 26, 2008

Hello hello hello

Wow I finally have some time to get some typing in and just unload a few thoughts.

DD got a new pet last night, a Guinea Pig she named Princess. She is really fat and cute, 3 colors, white brown and red. I've heard her squeal a few times and it's cute.I've feed her lettuce a few times today and she loves it.

And we got another bird a few weeks ago so we really have a multi animal household now lol.

Hopefully hubby can start on my houses for my dogs tomorrow since he has been lazy about it. lol I put them outside during the day but bring them in at night since it's so cold.I'd love to be able to have nice warm houses for them to be so they can potty at night and run around instead of being stuck in the house at night.

I'm tired but not enough to go to bed KWIM?

I'm excited about the extra tax rebate we might get in May or June. I want a new Van and a nice vacation. We want to take the kids to the beach this summer and I will really enjoy that too. I haven't been to the ocean in years since the second bay was born 4 years ago. There is nothing like the sound of the ocean to me and the smell of the salt water. Take sme back to my childhood growing up in Norfolk. I love the ocean.

What happened to this winter? It's too cold and not enough snow. I want one really great snowfall and I'll be so happy. Our snow mobile is sitting in the front yard just waiting to be ridden. I want a big snow, enough to shut down the roads and we can cruise on the snow mobile visiting and riding the kiddos around.

I'm glad Christmas is over! I'm glad the tree is down, it was getting on my nerves so bad with the kids messing with it and the needles dripping off. All the toys the kids get, most of them are in the toy box forgotten about now. There are a few they play with everyday but I have too much for 3 kids. They have more then anyone I know. There are toys in the bedroom they never play with.I have packed up bags and bags of toys and there is still a ton left.I put themin the shed for this summer I can have a yard sale. I was freecycling them but it's a headache when people don't show up when they are suppose to and then never call ya or email ya and say I'm not coming.

My back is really bothering me lately and thankfully my friend sent a few pain pills over so I can sleep at night. Without them I'd be up all night and want to cry because I am too tired and in too much pain.

I want to be downstairs with hubby stretched out on the couch watching TV but we have company so I'm up here so I want to type here and then go down after he leaves. I hope he leaves soon so I can spend time with hubby BUT I'm in my jammies and I do not want to be down there not dressed KWIM?

My neighbor moved a few days ago and left his dog.I feel bad for the dog, he would cry all day and then he got left. The landlord took him to the pound.I just know they will put him to sleep because he's older and not good with kids.

WOO HOO compnay left so I'm off to be with hubby,

Night!

Wow its been a long time

I have not been here forever!

I forgot my screen name and password. Don't you hate when that happens?

I need to come here more often and just rid my mind of all my ramblings and just get it out on the screen and then maybe I can rest better at night without all my thoughts spinning around and around.

The kids are asleep, well except for Logan my night owl. He is watching Shrek in my bed. In the middle of my bed.

The baby is at the top and Hailey is at the bottom. Poor hubby fell asleep on the couch so I left him there and the kids took my bed over. It's cute to see all of them curled up in there though. I love sleeping with them until I get a foot in the face or ribs. Will they ever want to sleep in their own beds and not with Mommy?

I guess that when I know they are growing up when they don't want in Mommy's bed lol.

I was thinking about this when I took Hailey to school today. I want to just throw my jacket on over my jammies and drop her off outside the door, watching her go inside the school but not actually getting out of the van. Nope! She said I have to walk her inside and give her a kiss. So I got dressed and did it. I love too but I was so tired this morning. I was thinking as I'm pulling out of the parking lot the time will come when she will want me to drop her off at the curb and speed away so noone sees her Mom because it's uncool.

Logan thinks I should come to preschool everyday and hang out with him and eat lunch with him. I love doing that but he doesn't realize I have to be home doing things too and be with Austin. He says my Mom can watch Austin all day while I play with him and his friends. He's so cool!

I know my kids are going to gie me big headaches one day. Hailey is a bear in the morning with school clothes. We lay her clothes out at night but fight about them in the morning.Logan thinks he should just shoot everything with his BB gun. He loves knives and I have to hide them all in the kitchen or he wants to play with them.

Austin just wants to pour soda everywhere and loves to break things.

The dogs are driving me nuts! Somehow I ended up with 3 labs and a chessie. My Chessie is the Alphia dog and will fight the other dogs over anything. I have to keep her in check all the time. She will fight over food, treats, attention or just because one of the others looked at her.I put the labs outside during the day and keep Rommel the Chessie inside except for pee breaks.

Sophia the Chocolate Lab is my hubbys. She choose him and follows him everywhere. She is asleep at his feet right now.

My white lab Maggie is 4 months old and a big goof. She is so goofy! Clumsy as can be but sweet. My yellow lab Elsa is a chewer and a digger. I told hubby tonight the yard where she stays looks like gophers have taken over. She will dig all day! I yell at her and she looks at me like I'm bothering her while she is digging for China.

We had gotten a new bird, a African grey just before Thanksgiving but she killed herself. She was nuts, always biting herself and she bit her neck open and died.So I have been wanting another bird and found one for free today. She is so cute! A little Senegal parrot. I'm suppose to pick her up tomorrow, the lady paid $600 for her but us giving her to me. Hopefully she will be a cool bird that I can let hang out with me and ride on my shoulder some. I just hope Rocky our big Amazon likes her.

Well, I'm off to bed and hopefully tomorrow I can come back and write some more,

Night!

WOW have I let this place go

I really need to spend more time for myself just rambling and writting my thoughts down.

I've haven't been here in so long I have cob webs to dust up from the corners. I actually forgot my password and it took a while to remember it lol.

The house is quiet, DH took the kids to a birthday party for a neighbor boy so I"m home alone cleaning and have been playing online a bit.

It's damp and overcast outside but I have the front door open airing out the house and I mopped my floors.

The dogs are outside so I have the house all nice and clean.

I didn't cook dinner yet but the kids are eating at the birthday party so I"ll just have to fix a light meal.

I'm catching a cold so I took some cold medicine and feel sleepy.

Maybe I can get my laundry put away and grab a nap while everyone is gone lol.

I have to remember to come or at least try and come to update my blog. I felt so great after having a place to just sit to myself and ramble about anything.

So much has been going on.....DD broke her arm and had pins in and after 6 weeks she has her cast off.

Our puppy is growning so fast. DH gave her shots the other day and wormed her.

I"ve been trying to get ready for Christmas and thinking of what gifts I'll buy. I always want the kids to have a big Christmas, I think because I always had a big morning.

Well, I hear someone downstairs!

Bye for now!

really needed to update (more ramblings lol)

WOW I really need to up date my rambles and kinda figure out where I want to take this to........what directions I need to head my thought process in.

Hmm, I'm finally connected to the outside world once again after going with out the internet for almost 2 months. My husband thought I'd crack under the pressure of no PC but I made it and was actually too busy to really care about it. I could have went to the farm and used the PC there but even though it's only a few minutes away, the connection is so slow I can't stand it. It driives me insane waiting for the pages to open up. I can't even go on pogo over there because it won't open up.

One thing I did miss was the Mommy's board and see what everyone was up to everyday. Other then that I didn't miss it.

And the funny thing also, at the old house the PC was in the livingroom on a big desk so I could just pop on and off all day. Now we have it upstairs in a little cubby hole so I don't come up here much during the day so I don't see the PC so I don't think about popping on and surfing around. The kids are asleep now so I can get time to just relax and get online. I'm in the middle of the bedrooms so I can hear the kids if they need anything. And the view is awesome. I have a huge tree that shades the front of the house and a field across the street. I can see the road and watch the cars as they come by so I know if anyone comes over.

We have a lot of company.Someone is always popping in or the phone is ringing.I've finally gotten the little boy who plays with my kids to knock on the door instead of just throwing open the door and running in.

We've had cookouts and friends stay the night, or friends just pop in for no reason at all.Keeps me on my toes for sure lol.

We still have some work to do but for the most part we are looking great.I have some rooms I want to repaint and I'm painting the old trim upstairs instead of replacing it.I have to paint in our room, finish the windows in Haileys room and finish the hallway up here.

Suddenly I have a thing for green. My livingroom is green and I brought a green Van.

Okay, I will try and write each night and add some photos as I go.

Nighty night

will we ever get moved?

I would like to go on the recird that I'd rather do anything except pack.

I do not like packing after moving several times through the years and always having to pack everything myself. Since I've gotten with DH we have not moved except one time and now this time.

I have given away so much stuff it's unreal. The parakeets went this afternoon lol.

I got 9 containers today for clothes at the grocery store for $4.99 each. They are clear blue with lids and I"D LOVE to have about 10 more. Except I do not have the money for them today.

My FIl was suppose to come over this evening and pick up a big load of stuff but he can't come because "he doesn't feel like it" so that has me kinda bummed out. I have boxes and stuff piled everywhere. Hubby is coming straight here from work to help load things so that will not make his day at all. My MIL said they could come tomorrow in the morning but I can't load things myself. So I'm stuck....and not happy about it at all. I wanted to have everything out this weekend and nothing has been moved at all.

The electrian has not showed all week to finish the work.

Nothing is going as planned at all.

Will it ever get done???????

river time

WOO HOO we got the camper to the river and I am so excited. Of course nothing goes as planned so we get there and the electric pole has been under water and is full of mudd. So we have no power to plug into.Another thing we have to do this weekend plus work on the house now we have to replace the plug on the pole so we can hook up. AND we think our water line froze over the winter and busted for our tank. That has to be fixed because I can not go without water for dishes and showers. Although we will now only live 15 mins from our camp instead of an hour away. I can always run home and shower but its nice to have water.

Hopefully I can get my list of things done which include my garden, cleaning in the basement and finish painting. I'd love to be able to go to the camp and sit at the river in my hammock on Sunday enjoying a nice quiet restful Mothers day.

One can dream can't they?

Happy Mothers Day everyone.

work work work

I went to Lowes again. I just love that store. I got my new counter tops, a bathroom door, a closet door for in the bathroom and new wiring. We are having someone other then the last person we had rewire the whole upstairs and bring everything up to code. I"m excited about that and won't have to worry about an electrical fire oneday.

The windows finally came yesterday and hubby put one in last night before we left. I really love the windows. They fold in, both the top and bottom so I can clean them easy. They all have nice screens in too. The front picture window is huge and tinted.

This weekend we will try and get the windows in and the floors finished. We have to lay the carpet and tile the bathroom.

I still have some painting in the kitchen to do where we replaced the ceiling.

Hopefully we an move things in next week.

My garden has been plowed and the Alamanac says this is the perfect weekend for planting so I want to get it done.Woo Hoo my first real garden.

The neighbor is kinda a pain, coming over all the time and everytime I go outside for something he hurries over. My MIL said she always stayed in the house because of him getting on her nerves. He's older and lonely I guess but I like privacy and being able to do my own thing KWIM?

The kids have made friends with other kids that live to the corner of us. Their Mother grew up playing with hubby so thats sweet.

She has 4 kids, one girl and three boys most in age near mine. I'm glad they are friends and have someone to play with.

Well, off to pack the car for the house.

May. 3, 2007

things are shaping up

Well I think we are finally ready to start the floorings.

I have to sand one wall in the bathroom and paint it plus one section of the kitchen ceiling has to be painted. We had a friend we made last summer down at the river come over and help the other night hang the ceiling drywall so all the drywall is finished finally.

Hubby set the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom vanity so that's all done. He wants to start on the tile in the kitchen and bathroom this weekend. I'm so excited and can't wait.

We still have to go to Lowes and get three doors, one for the bathroom, one in the bathroom for the closet and one for my Mom's bedroom. She has two doors to her room and one door is 30 years old so I want to keep that one. I'm trying to save all the old stuff if it is useable. We have to pick up the counter tops and the stove and fridge. Plus the carpet for the three bedrooms. Then everything is done.

We will put the addition on next year. Enough work for this year already I think. We will put a bedroom/bath for hubby and me onto the house.

Hopefully I can go up there tonight and get some work done.

I brought a trampoline for the kiddos yesterday and that's up so the kids have something to do while we are working.

I'm making progress slowly packing. I just hate to pack. I gave away a bunch of stuff already.

I have bags and boxes everywhere so hopefully my FIL can bring the trailer and truck over tomorrow or this weekend and get a huge load of things. I'm very tired of the clutter here

I'd rather just go to the new house and sit on the porch watching the birds I hung out two bird feeders and they empty it everyday. So maybe pretty birds over there. I had a bluejay drinking water from the dog bowl yesterday. It was so neat.

I just can't wait to move and get all settled. My MIL said I should just have a yard sale instead of giving everything away but after we move I just want to sit at the river with the kids and enjoy the summer.

May. 1, 2007

packing is the pits

I just want to know where all this stuff came from? I mean the stuff in the closets? Does it breed late at night?

I have found so much stuff I didn't know I have. I even found clothes and I really don't want to admit this one but I had saved for my daughter and now she is too big for it.

I even found more maternity clothes which I will never need again so I have been freecycling them and oops I found another bag of dresses.

I do have someone coming tomorrow for some things thankfully.

And my FIL is coming with his truck to haul a load up to the house for me.

I am throwing things away, keeping some and freecycling the rest.

Hopefully someone can get some use out of these things too.lol

I have picked out a few pictures to take and the rest is going to someones home.

progress

I know why painters charge so much now lol. I had a neighbor come over and look at my painting and asked if I could paint his house. Hubby said sure she can for $15 an hour. I said thanks but no thanks. Too tiring, I have to paint my house so I don't get a choice but I am not painting someone elses house. No way, not gonna ever start that. I still have so much to do once we even get moved in. The yard will take a few summers to get it straightened out the way I want it.

It's so funny that we have a lot of friends and family that all disappeared when we started this project. They all said we can help and get it done lol, hubby and I have been doing most of it ourselves. We hired a guy to help and here lately he hasn't been answering the phone. I have gotten so discouraged so many times and just wanted to give up but I keep going. It has been so much work. I know I will appreicate the house more once we get in because of all the work but boy is it tiring and hard work.

I'd love to be outside working in the yard instead. I have picked out some white fencing I want to put across the front yard once we get in there. I think it will be so pretty. I want a fencing company to come out and install chain link in the back yard for the kids and dogs to have a place to play without going out of our yard.

I called a pool company ad in the paper on Saturday. They have a huge pool for less then $1000 and it has a deck but they charge almost as much for the labor of installing the pool as the pool costs itsself.I think I will just buy a pool from wal-mart instead and add a deck later on. I have so much to buy for the house once I get paid for this place. Right now I am maxed out for another month

Apr. 28, 2007

painting is tiring

I have been painting up a storm. I have had to go back over what hubby had used the paint gun on and hand roll it in places because the grease wasn't covered. I scribbed the walls and ceilings but it was so dirty that all of it wouldn't come off. So I am a painter now, just a Mom jack of all trades lol.

Hubby is busy putting in the plumbing for the bath tub so hopefully this weekend we can get the tub and toilet in and place the sink/vanity in too.

I will start actually painting with the real paint instead of primer too. I am starting upstairs and working my way down. Then we can put the carpet in and bring the furniture over.

In the middle of all this my Mother in law is paying for our camping lot today and I want to get the camper moved over too. So busy!!!!

I need a playpen to put baby in while I work so bad so I put an ad on freecycle looking for one. Hopefully someone has one they aren't using.

Apr. 23, 2007

my day

I haven't really done much today, I just don't feel good so I did as little as possible.

I did take my Mom to the Doctor then I went grocery shopping at Wal-mart.

I have so many birds over at the house that I fill up the one feeder I brought everyday. So I brought a bright yellow bird feeder and a 10 pound bag of mixed seed for them. I know I will end up buying one or more feeders when we move in because I love having the birds in the yard.

Tonight Hubby tore out the bathtub and painted more. We will get our bathroom together this weekend hopefully. Tomorrow I have to go through the hallway closet and the kids room packing and freecycling. I have given away so many clothes.

I walked out my front door here and had a shock this morning. They are cutting down the woods behind my place to put in more trailers. All you see now is trailers. I am so happy we are moving and we have a huge yard over there. I am disappointed about the trees though. My neighbors are so mad. I had one tell me this evening he just built a deck to enjoy the shade and now he has no shade. I said you will have to put blinds on all your windows so no one can see in your house at night. I know people will be moving like crazy now. So sad.

I will be so happy to move and have more space and I love my front porch. I sat on the porch last night and listened to the spring peepers and it was so peaceful. I have a nice breeze that blows in the evening too.

I know we will be so happy there and the kids will grow up in a better enviroment.

Well, off to bed.

I love Lowes!!!!!

I spent 3 hours yep you read that right 3 hours shopping in Lowes!

I ran out of room in the truck for stuff  Don't even ask me how much I spent but let me tell you what all I picked out.

A new bathtub and fixtures

A new vanity in Oak with Caramel swirl marble vanity top

A bone colored toilet which is light beige

A new light fixture with 3 frosted globes for over the vanity

3  engraved light covers for the three bedroom ceilings

3 new light fixtures for the kitchen, dining room and the living room

a light fixture for over the kitchen sink.

I also picked out Oak flooring for the livingroom so we got 11 boxes of that.

what I forget to get.........a deadbolt lock for the backdoor

I also found the counter tops I want which are a kinda beige but I forgot the name of the color. We didn't have room for those and we still need to get carpet for the bedrooms.

WOW we can paint and do the bathroom now. I have everything for the bath.

Can you tell I have a beige theme going in the house lol. I just think I can match up all kinds of colors with beige. And the green plants will look so great with it.

I also have new windows coming!!!

Hopefully we can throw it all together by sometime in May.

posts lost in space

I keep updating and then when I'm done I get my post lost in space. After I sit here and type away ramblin it goes somewhere other then where I want it to go.

Anyways, we have made so much progress! The sub floors are down, we have put mud on the walls. Boy was that fun. I had never used drywall mud before and finally got the hang of it. I sanded last nigght what had dried and then mudded the walls going upstairs. It looks great!

We have sprayed one bedroom with kiltz so far and it looks nice and white.

Tonight we go to Lowes and get light fixtures, order the kitchen counter tops, the hardwood floors and everything else we can think of.Like all the bathroom fixtures lol. Hubby's boss gave us a new tub but we can't use it because it's a left hand drain and we need a right hand drain. I hadn't thought about the drains.

We have the new back door up. Hubby got that up last night and it looks great. It's grey like the house.

So hopefully this weekend we can paint and next week get the floors in and start moving things in.

The yard is a mess from people driving on it and I said last night once the house is done no more driving on the yard.

It will take me two summers to get the yard straightened out.

I sat on my front porch last night and just listened to the spring peepers and I loved it!!!

It was so nice to have people drive by and blow the horn waving.

I freecycled so many of my clothes yesterday. I even had a lady come to the house and pick up bags. Made me full good to bless someone else with them.

Apr. 12, 2007

Making progress finally

Finally things are coming together. Most of the trash in the yard has been cleaned up. Hubby hired a teenager to help and he's really great.

He filled the trailer with trash yesterday where the renters had a shed and dumped everything on the ground and also where they had a shed with chickens in it. They left piles of trash.

Next the building has to be cleaned out and torn down.

The guy is tearing out some drywall today to be replaced too. Then he's suppose to scrub some ceilings so we can prime them for the paint.

My FIL is meeting someone over there this morning for an estimate on new windows. We have to replace all but the big window in the living room. Hubby also wants to replace the front door so our heat and cooling doesn't escape. The back door is hanging by nails where they broke it off the hinges so we have a new door for there.

Hubby also ripped out the bathroom sink and cabinet last night. We have to replace everything in the bathroom. A lot of drywall in there is ruined too.

Hopefully by the end of the month it will be done and we can paint and put the floorings down so we can move in. I will start packing and taking boxes over next week. Freecyclers will be happy because I have so much to purge through and give away. I want to bless others with things I don't need.

We got the mailbox up YIPEE. The phone will be hooked up on Monday too. I still haven't turned the water/sewer on yet. I will try and do that in the next two weeks. I have a car payment this week so I don't really have the money for it yet.

Hopefully my garden will get put in this weekend. Finally a big garden of my  own.

I know it's probably not exciting to most but I will love having my own house and big yard. Plus knowing hubby grew up there makes my heart happy.

I really want to have the house nice and the yard full of flowers. I will buy new livingroom furniture and stuff for my porch when i move and get paid for this place. The man put a nice deposit on it but I have spent it already getting the phone hooked up and buying cleaning stuff. And gas going back and forth. I also have to buy a new bed.  I have a king size water bed now but can't use it until we get the addition built. Maybe next year lol.

I'm happy and excited and will be so glad when it's over and we are moved. I do not want to move anymore after this.

I think I will appreicate the house more since we've put so much work into it. KWIM? I won't take it for granted.

I am so tired

I am completely worn out from cleaning. I have scrubbed walls until I am tired of looking at them. I did find a great cleaner that will clean up anything and it's cheap too. I brought something called "awesome" at the Dollar General store. I spray it on and the grease and dirt just rolls off the walls. I have gone through 2 pair of rubber gloves and 20 bottles of cleaner so far. I only have behind the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom downstairs left to scrub.

this is the bathroom wall after I sprayed "awesome" on it. I am using a sponge mop to scrub the wall then taking a rag and spraying the wall again to get it off.

Hubby says how did they get the bathroom wall so dirty? I think it's ciggrette smoke and then when they showered it made it stick to the walls.

We all all the floors torn up and the basement cleaned up. The renters left the basement full of empty boxes and just bags of trash. I have to scrub the ceilings and finish the walls then our friend is coming to spray and fog the house. Then we can paint and put the new flooring down. It's been a hard weekend with just hubby and I working on the house. We don't have any help at all.

The renters have finally gotten just about all their stuff and what is left they want us to haul away and they said they would pay hubby next month (yeah right) for doing it. They have put so many nails in the walls and kitchen cabinets it's unreal. My FIL is pissed over the cabinets. He had them installed 20 years ago. They are usable, we just have to recoat them.

It's been more work then we thought. I will be so glad when it's done. I love the house and have so many ideas on how I want to arrange things. I really want to use the basement and not have wasted space. I need to pressure wash the walls and floors down there to get all the dirt and cobwebs down. It has a cement floor but I can do something with it.

this is the door going to the basement, I love this door. It's old and thin but I want to fix it and keep it. You can see the stairs from upstairs throught the glass lol.

here you can see the difference  in where I have scrubbed the walls above the doors. The walls were brown with dirt. YUCK!

When I was spraying around the cabinets I had roaches falling out on my gloves.

Our dog stinks from being in the house

Here she is tired from hard work so I put a blanket down for her in the livingroom. You can see the floors being torn up.

I don't know if we will go back tonight or not? I think we need a rest tonight. My whole body is tired.

My favorite window

I love this window that hubby is opening. It's in the livingroom and I have an idea of how I want the drapes to look already. That gross carpet is coming up today and once we repair the floors I want hardwood floors down, something light colored to brighten up the room. I want bright airy rooms.

I have no idea what color the carpet was, it's got burn holes in the carpet and so stained up it looks rotten.  I don't think they had a vaccum or even thought about shampooing any floors.

I have to get cleaning stuff, a broom and garbage bags to take up there later today.

We do have someone coming over to help us on Saturday do some work. Tonight we will try and get a lot done too.
