I got this idea because I wanted to find some really good resources for homeschooling through the holidays and could only find a few things but most of them involved the modern-day Christmas with presents, toys, Santa, and all the things I didn't really want. I was thinking more of the first Thanksgiving and the true meaning of Christmas. I always love hearing bells jingling so I thought up this idea and made a nice looking banner for it. If you want to join in you can just save the picture for your blog to your hard drive, please, instead of picking up a link that may not work for you. Add some of your favorite links and sign your name to my Mr. Linky below so everyone can join in on the fun. I thought I'd keep this up until the end of November since most people will be busy with family through the Thanksgiving holiday at least. I don't have any yet but my friend Cindy at Westward does, so go and check out her post first! Note: If the Mr. Linky won't work just feel free to leave your links in a comment, email them, or pm them to me...please!
Have a great day!!!
Just came by to say hi and see how you have been. I just sent you a message. I hope you get it. What really neat ideas you have!

Stopping by to answer your question on my timeline post. I took the poster board to our local "Holcomb's Knowplace", or as we always refer to it "the school store" to be laminated. But, if you don't have those I believe office supply stores such as Staples laminate too.
....for your nice comments regarding my new blog look and my BFS post for this week. I had no idea you lived close to the Creation Museum! We could have met up with you. Another blogger e-mailed me to let me know that she lives about 15 minutes from there. Had I only known, I could have met up with 2 more virtual friends last weekend.
Maybe next time......

Hello Nancy,
I have been having trouble finding anything to do with Christmas without the use of Santa. We don't celebrate with Santa and its hard to find things that don't envolve him. Cindy has a great list, which I have bookmarked for future use. If I find anything that we can use, I'll be happy to sign up.
Also, how did you get your Mr. Linky to work?
Blessings,
Lynn
Hi Mrs. King,
Wow...it has been a while since I've talked to you. Nice to stop by your blog and see how you're doing. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!!! It's hard to believe that the season is already here. :-)
Regards,
Sylvia
Hey Nancy. I joined in with you all too. I hope people leave lots of links. I may try to find some other stuff too and edit it in. I wanted to at least find something and get started. I can't wait to see what all everyone comes up with.

Just stopping by to thank you so much for your response to my blog entry! Your comments helped me so much to sort through back to the true meaning of the season, and to get my focus back! Thank you so much for your wise words!
I made a little change with my Friends List. It's on the left side and to open it just click on the word "Friends" and it pops out! Neat, huh! To close it click on it again! Thank you

Seven Steps to Raising Godly Children
Principle - Impart God's word on your children and live in a way that you are their greatest example of what a Christ-abiding parent should be.
Pattern - Teach your children a pattern of prayer; when to pray, how to pray, and why prayer is important.
Persistence - Don't ever give up...teach your children to always have faith and not to give up when things get hard.
Participation - Our children crave our attention! The way our children see us is the way they'll see God in thier lives.
Praise - Encourage children, praise them when they do something right and help them when they have a hard time.
Prayer - Teach your children to pray and then to TRUST God for the outcome.
Priority - Make God the Head and Heart of your home and let them live with God's desire coming first in your lives.
